I want to say that its the "heavy duty," at least that is what I ordered last time I went through this ordeal. It was 2.5 turns lock to lock, just like stock and not the slower V6 rack.

Just a heads up, I had to order mine through the stealer. The LT1 and LS1 racks are slightly different and do not interchange, but most of the major parts suppliers lump all 93-02s into the same category.

Z28 would just about have to be "heavy duty". The other one may be for V6.

I bought a AC/Delco for the car for $175, bought it by the VIN number.

The guy that sold it to me couldn't tell me the differences, but there are 3 different racks for a 99 car.

V6, Z28 and SS maybe?

My buddy bought one for his 2002 SS by his VIN and it was a different part# and $25 more than mine.

Who knows.............
