One of the guys in our local F-body club made a little error in judgement and destroyed his F-body. Just a reminder to be careful out there.

He seems to be mostly unhurt (great news).

Wow! Glad the guy is OK ... but it does sound like he was a little premature in getting the car "up to speed".

Agreed Mitch. As an instructor I would not let anyone slide around until they had the track down cold without sliding. Until one really understands technique a twitch of any kind could be disastrous.

I read that whole post and it appears that he was "pushing the nose" on track out, not 'hanging the tail out" as it originally seems. It appears (after reading the whole thing) that he was doing it correctly and just made a slight, but costly, mistake (dropped a wheel going to wide).

Yes, Dan agreed the turn came up faster than he anticipated and missed turn in.

I saw a track video, shot the next day and you could see his skid marks where it appears he was mid track in T7 at TWS ... a bad place to screw up ....
