Man the clutch in this car is gonna kill me.

Please let me know what clutch you are using and if it uses DOWEL PINS for the pressure plate.

I put in a clutch and pulled it out in 80 miles because of a vibration, it didn't use dowel pins. Holes in pressure plate were .400, bolts .380 how does that work?

The clutch in this car has been out way too much for oil leaks, vibrations, no shift conditions what a PITA.

Car has the Tick MC in it.

Full weight and then some, 375 rwhp is a street car that gets track days about 4 times a year.

Its in a 99 Z28 with a LS1/6

I don't wanna spend a grand on a clutch.

I LOVE the Spec stage 3 in my '82 (4 speed ST-10) ... BUT I've heard good and bad about Spec in the LS1 car arena

The clutch guy agreed to take it back and give a refund, so I would rather not say. He did the right thing but I still have a car apart and can't decide.

Scoggin Dickey has a killer deal on a LS7, ARP bolts, Aluminum flywheel for $560

I've got an LS7 clutch backing up my LS3 swapped car (430rwhp and 430rwtq). Feels pretty much like an OEM clutch, never had an issue out of it autocrossing it, or on the street. Haven't tracked it yet, but I have no reason to think it would have any problems.

That's what I have, even bought it from them, but I had to go with a Ram alloy f.w. since they did not offer one for LS1s at the time.

I love it! If you are not going to push the power/torque levels up too high it can't be beat (for street/occasional open track use), especially with the Tick master, which I wish I had sprung for instead of a new stocker.

The car later on down the line will get a cam and a better catback, you would think it would make 420-430rwhp, the cam will be small 220 ish.

I just bought a monster Level 2 for $20 more than the LS7

When I get it in and broken in I will give an update.

Monster is the company I would also go with if I was making too much power for an LS7 setup. wink.gif

(I have heard nothing but problems with almost everything else, i.e.; Textralia, Spec, Ram, McLeod, Centerforce, Exedy, ACT, CM, etc.) sad.gif

Everything I read on the LS7 was a 50/50 love hate deal.

The Monster has a good following. I talked to the owner Steve, he is a no nonsense kinda guy, I like that....no BS.

I have heard of problems with almost every clutch out there for LS cars sad.gif
I have had good luck with Mcleod's first had a single, sold it now have a twin disc.
Spec I'd stay away from, way too many issues with them on the boards & I've seen 1st hand.
