:-) Sell it and buy this thing. Its a little faster than my old ESP 4th gen, doesn't chew up hubs, is a nice daily or weekend car, and every part on the car you can buy from the dealer.

Drove it at a local autox today. FTD and pax win. Had a buddy drive it with me in his 2nd time on race tires ever (though a reasonable autoxer despite that) who was a second off my time and took 2nd fastest time and 3rd in Pax.

Car just flat out works. I'm going roadracing, so I need to make some other stuff in life cheaper.

Seems like that car would be great for both!
Nice car.

Are the wheels on the car in that pic also actual OEM, comp grey, C5 Z06 wheels?? Are they street tires on that set (on the car)?

Kevin, you DID see this, right??!!! thumbup.gif cool2.gif

Yea, I did. I PM'd Mark for a little info last night. Part of me fears kicking myself if I don't buy it. They other half of me likes having no car payment and wonders what I'll do with two Corvettes?

I'm really tempted...

Its my dream car, for sure!
Even the right color.

As an owner of both a C4 and a C5 Z06, go for it if you can swing it. You can always sell the C4; and besides, do you really enjoy maintaining a 21 year old car? (I've worked on Corvettes since 1966 so it's second nature to me now; but sometimes my '89 can drive me to distraction when something craps out and no one carries a new replacement unit. I'm on good terms with all the C4 salvage yards in Virginia! rolleyes.gif )

The stock C5 Z06 on the other hand is an impressive auto-xer and docile daily driver. Maintenance is easy as the Vette is virtually trouble-free even at the eight year mark. All you really need is a hand-held code scanner for the OBDII system.

You may not want all the extra tires and rims, but that gives you some bargaining room. beerchug.gif

I'm tempted...
Which one do I drive in the snow?
mr.beachcomber
If you have to drive in the snow, I would suggest the C5 with its traction control system and snow tires. (Virginia Beach doesn't get that much snow, but the C4 has no traction control other than the driver's right foot. I have driven the C5 in the snow, albeit less than 2", and not had any problems other than Virginia Beach drivers that aren't used to driving in snow!)

BTW, the 2004 Z06 has the best suspension system of all the C5 models. This is the one to get if you're serious about auto-xing or track days. Still a great daily driver if you can keep your right foot under control. rolleyes.gif

The set on the car in the pics is the Conti Extreme DW's. So yeah, street tires.

All the wheels are factory '02-'04 (I think it is) Speedline wheels. A couple of them have some pretty good curb rash, but all are straight.

I'm keeping everything together until after our last event (10/15). After that if there's been no serious interest in the package then I'll start splitting stuff up.

The Batman
If it gets to the point where you split the stuff up, I would be interested in a set of four 18x10.5 rear wheels.

Howdy,

This is sold.
