I bought my 2" spacers new years ago from a long lost contact, and during a wheel change at my last race we managed to mangle one wheel mounting stud thanks to a powerful impact gun and an overly zealous crewman.

I have a race weekend in 2 days, and need at least 1 of these studs which apparently are custom made for this adapter, as I've turned the whole town upside down trying to find one!

If anyone out there has a spare stud or a 2" adapter (used or new) with at least 1 good stud in it, please let me know.

I'm willing to pay whatever it takes if I can get it in my hands before Saturday! Overnight to Sumas WA 98295 via FedEx or something?

Are the studs screw in or pressed in? What is thread or knurl size?

Press in. 12mm X 1.5 with pilot end

Knurled area on the (ab)used stud is around 14.5 mm, with the smooth non-knurled area 13.8 mm.

Overall length under the head is 2 inches including the short pilot (.200")

I just measured my receptacle for the stud and the smooth (non-indented) area is 13.8 mm (as expected).

I have found a Raybestos stud in their book P/N 27886B that claims to have a knurled dimension of 13.8 which may or may not be the smooth part vs. the roughed up area. It is shorter by a few mm's but should work if the knurl bites. I've ordered it from a warehouse 50 miles away so will keep my fingers crossed.

Knurl dimension is the dia across the knurl, so those Raybestos won't work. They are OEM length also, too short.

Try ARP-100-7720 they have a .579" knurl, app is 99-05 Miata rear, they come 4 to a pack. Summit has in stock. Or try miatacage.com they are in Portland

Okay! Thanks Alan, I'll look into the Miata studs, but the 27886B worked! Not perfect, but the knurling needed to be pressed into place, and the last thread on the nut engages the last thread on the stud, while the others have 1 1/2 threads showing. I'll talk to Costas about getting his soon-to-be-available 2 inch adapters for a final fix after the race.
