Full Version: Anybody know the nut size for the factory torque arm mount?

I guess I sold the nuts and bolts with the aftermarket one.

I need the nut for the mount with the attached bolt that mounts to the tranny. At lowes, I tried 10x1.0, 1.25, and 1.5. I also tried standard nuts. It's something else.

Thanks,
Steve

Actually I need the all the hardware up front. I've got the bolts and nuts for the rear.

Maybe, I felt like I was close with the 1.5

That hardware is all M10 x 1.5 You'll need the OEM TA clamshell mount. Anyone who has installed a UETA will no longer need it.

The threaded hole in the case for the topmost bolt that holds the TA bushing is prone to crossthreading and stripping out. I have a helicoil kit for that size.

I always put a stud in the top clamshell bolt hole. It makes it much easier to work with.

I've got the stock bracket with bushing. I just need the nuts bolts that go with it.

You are positive that the size is 10x1.5? Because when I tried it, it felt like it wasn't the right thread size.

I found a car in the shop with that bracket in place, and I pulled the nut off and checked it - yes, it is M10 x 1.5. Yours may have been damaged, or had debris in the threads.

Thanks Alan. I'll check it out this weekend when I get back into town
