New guy. Names Ben. This is my car:

Just a little home built 355 I bought for $100 and put together myself. 11/1 compression, Dart Pro1s, E85, and a little bitty nitrous kit for playing around at the drag strip.

Welcome even though I signed up the day before you did.
Nice Grand Sport stripes!

Welcome. Nice ride. Nice motor. Any suspension mods?

From the stance and stock-type upper strut mounts, I'd say not many suspension mods. It's nice having all that power AND A/C! 2thumbs.gif

I'd put some padding on that halo bar if you drive it on the street much. That's brain damage just waiting to happen without it.

Thanks. It's the second time I've had to do them. First time, they didn't go on so well. Paint is '96 Admiral Blue just done last year. I figured if I can't afford one, I can at least build something to look like one.

KYB AGX shocks, UMI goodies in the rear, C6 front brakes, 11.2" rear discs, Ford 9" with a broken trac-loc that will hopefully be sold and replaced this weekend at the swap meet. I've got the money, but I've been procrastinating doing the front suspension. I don't know why. Just have. I'll probably do it all at once and be done with it sometime this spring. Tubular K member and control arms, Camber plates, steering components, etc. I've just been too lazy I guess. Sucks that I didn't buy it all when UMI was doing their 15% off with free shipping.

Yeah, I hear ya. I don't do a whole lot of driving on the street with it. Less than 500 mi a year. Probably pulling the AC out here pretty soon. I just corner weighted it last fall and for as much as I drive it, I'd like to shed a little weight off the front. Plus, I have the T Tops, lol. I'll probably wind up putting some of that half sided padding on the halo when I switch the interior over to black this year. It's been something I've needed to do, I know.

Well, it didn't crash into the tires that day, that's for sure. He got most of it buffed off. Only thing left is a 4" crack in the plastic. It needs painted, but it needed painted anyway.
