Looking for (1) 17x9 SS 10-spoke and (1) 17x9.5 Corvette sawblade. The cheaper the better, these are just rain/storage wheels. Ugly as hell is fine as long as they aren't cracked/bent.

Just trying to make 2 sets of wheels whole again.

On a rant, who the fuck pays $185 just to get a wheel TIG'd up and re-finishing is another $85? My local places can go pound sand. I want the wheel welded, I don't want to buy your machine... I only paid $150 for the set of wheels! I'll stop drill it and grind it out for you, think you can get it to around $50? banghead.gif

I've got a 17x9.5 Sawblade. I have a set of 4 but one is bent, and like you said I'm not paying $100+ to get it fixed.

I'm in Austin, Texas but could probably ship it.

In response to your rant I wouldn't weld them up anyways. Not with the loading and fatigue that a race car puts on wheels.

I think there are 2 10 spoke ss wheels on thirdgen.org for $160 I saw them last week, they were in jersey.

If you get down to Mid Ohio, I have 4 sets of sawblades and one Corvette. Do you have machined finish or painted? I have one set of machined and 3 sets of painted. One of the painted sets is a fairly ugly set of old autocross wheels. You know where I live (they still have old race tires on them for "roll it around the shop duty"), come by and bring $150 and I'll load them in the truck for you (if you want a better price, bring beer and we'll fire up the grill and tell a few lies).

I'd chance it for rains. I've got a pair of beater chrome C5 Z06 fronts that will be going into rain duty eventually. Hydrogen embrittlement anyone?

I clean/inspect my wheels after each weekend. So, I have a false sense of security that I'd catch it before it cost me money. wink.gif

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably pass. I only paid $150 for 4, but now I think I know why...

Painted, but I'm not particular. When I get a full set together, I'll probably paint them dark since they always get filthy anyway. Not planning a Mid-O trip this year, but I'll definitely give you a heads up next time we're going to swing through.

I got tired of work, so I went a little crazy. There are several more SS 10 spokes on ebay but they are higher. I've seen both of these wheels on Craigs list periodically.

Got the tire taken off the 17x9.5 sawblade . I noticed it has some significant curb rash, but it didn't affect its performance - will this be for a race set?
nape
Curb rash is fine, as long as it isn't missing chunks of the lip. It's going racing.

Looks like a winner to me. Let me know what I owe you.
