Just wanted to introduce myself after lurking for a few weeks.

Originally from eastern PA, I'm currently living in NW Arkansas.

It's a royal PIA to indulge my recently acquired habit out here but I may be moving to northern KY in the next year which should rectify that situation nicely.

I'll now return to my lurking. tongue.gif

Welcome!! Glad you came out of the closet! tongue.gif
What's the closest big city around you?
Racer X
Probably Tulsa. It's nearly a two hour drive. Hallet road course(if you've heard of it) is just west of there.

I autocross right outside of Springfield MO though. That's another two hour drive in the opposite direction.

It's a bit of an adjustment for someone who grew up equal distance from Philly and NYC. biggrin.gif

So Korry, are you in to autoxing or track days? Since you mention Hallett, doesn't St. Louis have a road course as part of their speedway track also? Memphis shouldn't be that far away from you either, as well as Indianapolis.

See, that's the good thing about getting out on road courses. You so quickly get to see the country driving to them.

Welcome Korry.

I've run at Hallett. Nice circuit.

The Tulsa F-Body club occasionally rents the place for a day.
Maybe we can hook up and do a track day.

Autocrossing right now. Track days will be coming. I have to get a trailer first. The thought of lugging tires and tools around or breaking the car hours from home does not appeal to me. I've been really thinking hard about Hallett though. biggrin.gif

I drag raced quite a bit when I was back east. Although I have always found turning left and right to be much more staisfying, drag racing is WAY too much to give up permanently. No more t-n-t nights though. Bracket racing or nothing now.

FWIW St Louis is about 5.5 hours from here, Memphis roughly the same, and Texas Speedway about 6 hours.

The nice thing about Texas however is that I have friends from back east living 12 miles down the road from the track. cool.gif

Thanks for the welcoming committee.
