I really wish I wasn't building a house right now....
Have any friends who appreciate a solid F-body?
I do, but they don't have any money either.

I wish these were appreciating like 3rd gens.
They will.
I bought a Sunset Orange Metallic 2001 Camaro SS in 2012 and paid 12,800 for it. A year later I sold it for $10,300 just to get rid of it. It only had 35k miles on it. I can't seem to touch an SOM SS for $15k or more these days. And other cars seem to be following. I bought my original 2002 Camaro Z28 for $28,750 in 2002. At 85k miles in 2007 I sold it for $12,500. I bought my 2002 Z28 convertible (IN 2016) for $11,500 with 57k miles. In 5 years, these cars dipped and climbed back up to where I sold mine. And I think they are starting to climb beyond that, though it seems to be SS cars and the more loaded ones that are doing better right now. It's coming....I think you're just early.
