I have been planning my suspension for about a year, and a lot of the members here (on other boards) have helped me decide on what to run in order to accomplish my goals. I am greatful to have a place like this to read, and to be able to ask any questions that I have.
What I know about suspension has been self taught, and I'm sure many of you can say the same thing. I have a friend that owns a sprint car which runs on dirt, and I am pretty much the guy who makes the calls on the chassis setup, and the rest of the car for that matter. We both started together, and while he has become a damn good driver, I am able to set up a winged sprint car pretty darn well too. Along with the knowledge that I acquired through doing that for about 5 years, (I am 23 now) the knowledge from all of you has helped me adapt to thinking about a car handling on pavement.
I probably won't post too much here, but I will be a daily reader. Do expect some questions come this spring though, as I install my Koni DAs.
We will also be moving to cockpit adjustable shocks in the sprint car, so I will be confused about shock settings on 2 different cars.
