I have a CD with my Nationals pics on it, though a few of you might like to see them. Trouble is I have, quite literally, NO idea how to do it.

Anyone dare try and walk me through it???????
trackbird
Sam,

You have to get them on a website to link them from. Then, use the box marked "IMG" when you are posting a reply and then place the link to the photos there. It will show up in your post as IMG inside of brackets [] like a quote.

Then they will show on the site.

How many pics is it? I may be able to host a few for you on my website and link them in for you (or send you the links so you can explain them if needed).

Sam - If you need a host for the pics let me know.

I'm the other moron on this board. Your answer begs the Q: How does one post the pics to a website???

I've no clue as to what website would accept pics.

you download them from your pc to the hosting website.
Shortbus set myself and others up w/ an F-body site
http://www.vilipend.com/~frrax/
you can then link those pics in your gallery here

The disc has 22 pics on it, but a couple suck, so maybe 18-20......

I'm someone wants to host them I'll try and e-mail them to someone so we can post them for you all to see if you want.

Doesn't matter to me who, but I think a DSL would help since there are a number of them. smile.gif

Contact shortbus and he will set you up an account on a web page.

Go to the webpage he sets up for you, log in and you are ready to upload pictures, movies, graphics, whatever.

Then it's linking to the picture.

Here is the main page to shortbus' gallery he has setup for FRRAX
http://www.vilipend.com/~frrax/

Scroll down till you see mitchntx ... click on my name, click on the picture ... it doesn't matter. It will take you to this link
http://www.vilipend.com/~frrax/mitchntx

Click on a picture and you get a picture page. Here is the link
http://www.vilipend.com/~frrax/mitchntx/gr...group_lg?full=1

On the front page, in the upper right corner, there is a log in button.

Once set up, you can upload pictures and stuff into YOUR gallery. Once uploaded, you can then thread your way through to the pictures you've uploaded, copy the link information in the address bar of your browser, and post them in e-mail or on web forums anywhere you like.

Sam, most likely, if you try and e-mail 20 pictures, you will either choke your mail server into submission (too many megabytes) or fill the sendee's mailbox up (too many megabytes) and the mail will bounce back to you.

Rule of thumb ... don't email big files. Upload and link to it ...

Sam,

What's the resolution on them? How large are the files? I'm on cable and may be able to make room on my site for them or Brian can stuff them up on the server he has setup. Send them to me at:

trackbird at columbus.rr.com (replace "at" with @). I'll see how large they are and either put them up or send them to brians server (I know he built me a log in, but I've not used it thus far).

Kevin,

I sent you 2 pics, (there are 19 more good ones). They're big, but let me know if you can help me with getting them posted.

Thanks,
Sam

I'll post them on my site if you want to send them to me. My mail server doesn't choke!!! Everything I own is suppose to be fast! :drive:

Actually, my server is on a T3 connection right now and is shortly going to get much faster!!!
trackbird
Sam, I got two, feel free to send away! I'm on a 3 meg connection, so it's not an issue. I'll try to get them up tonight.
RedHardSupra
Sam, or whoever else needs any computer help, send them to marcinpohl@gmail.com (as long as it's less than 1GB) I'll post them for you, I got plenty of space and bandwidth. It's the only way I can return the favor of knowledge sharing wink.gif

If you want it explained, AIM me at bushmannt, it's the easiest way to get a hold of me, i'll be more than glad to walk you through it, it's kinda impossible to do it on the board.

There you go Sam.

That's called "hitting" your apex.... thumbup.gif
Mericet
blink.gif on that second picture!
Sam Strano
you all like that huh? Here's what'll get you.... that was a clean run (all my South course runs were), and it was my fastest run too. You can imagine the kind of slip angles we autoxers get. biggrin.gif Remember, that's concrete, on 315 Kumho V710's too. I particularly like the antenna whipping the other way, which illustrates the speed in which we can change direction.

I have more too, but I think those two are among the best.

Thanks Kevin for posting those!!!!

Sam

No problem Sam. If you have others, send them along. I'll put them up.
trackbird
I added more of Sam's pics. (see first page)
