I bought a Terry Labonte racing suit today. It was a very good deal and I thought it looked really cool. It is only 2 layer Nomex, but should do the trick for what I'm doing, just running track days....so I'll be a bit safer than I was. It was only worn by a crew member during Speedweek 2002.

So, I take it Timm was the crew member?

Yes, Timm was a crew member. The suit is labeled as a driver's suit, although only 2-layer. Terry's was 3-layer. So if I go SCCA or something down the road, I just have to wear Nomex underwear.

WHERE DO YOU GUYS GET THIS STUFF!!!!!!

I have been trying forever to get a team suit and cant come up with anything. One of the speedshops local to me has 2 NASCAR suits made by sparco sitting in thier shop but CANT sell them. Not because they wont, because they cant. Sparco wont let them.

One of my ORR buddies has one of the suits that the C5R team uses. and numerous others have NASCAR team suits. can ANYONE point me in a direction to pick one up.

I had been searching for a Jeff Gordon suit for a few years, but could only find ones that are cut and in a frame. There are more Terry Labonte and Jerry Nadeau team suits at ompracing.com. They are about 5 minutes from where I work, and also have shops at Limerock, Summit Point, and VIR. They used to have a bunch of Roush suits too. I guess these Hendrick ones weren't cut right for most of the team members. It fits me fine though and is really cool. They originally were selling for $1200. I believe he said the cost was in the $800's His website shows them for $860? now....but he let it go for $500 the other day. He is no longer an OMP dealer and is trying to clear his inventory.....these are from Speedweeks of 2002. Worn 1 or 2 weeks only and then dry cleaned.

Give him a call! I'm looking at mine hanging in the closet right now....it looks awesome. He said a few people are going to wear them like me, but most bought them as a collectors item. I'd had my eye on them for a few years, but until my buddy was in the shop a few weeks ago, and the guy said he'd go low on them, I never knew I could justify one.

One of the suits inside Speedware is a Gordon suit. Its bad ass, but I don't think I would ever wear it. They also have the Nextel guys suit and a schumacher suit.

Do you have a link to the suit?

Here is a link to the site.

Look at the 3rd picture down on the right. You can just see the flames on the edge of the suit on the left side of the picture.

If you plan on calling and trying to buy it.....good luck. I know all those guys on a personal level and that doesnt even help me.

I think they did say that they could have one made though. Be ready for a mid 4 digit figure.

I was looking to have one made also a few years ago, but getting all the patches, etc. was tough....and I bailed out on the idea....figured I could spend money better elsewhere, but I do have a replica jacket which is cool enough to wear on raceday.

There arent any patches on this suit. It is all embroidered. Everything is custom stiched.
