I was working last winter, on a night we got a 2-3 foot dumping on. I knew our driveway wasn't shoveled, so I stayed at a motel near work. The side roads to the motel were plowed, but the snow was piling up faster than it could be cleared. The motel parking lost wasn't plowed at all.
You should have seen the look on the desk staffs faces when I told them I drove into their parking lot - in a Firebird!
"Did you just call here"?
"Yes"
"How did you get here"?
"I just drove here from the other side of the mall. I don't want to drive the 25 miles home and have to shovel the driveway".
"You drive a truck"?
"No, a Firebird"
"Where'd you park"?
"The parking lot"!
"How'd you get in there"?
"Drove"!
I got similar reactions from the toll collectors. Even pushed a stuck car with mine once.
