New here, don't really know much of anything suspension wise
I've autocrossed about 4 or 5 times. I'm in love with it.
I have a 98 Camaro a4 with bolt ons and stock suspension (stock GSCs too smile.gif)
Looking to get some suspension parts with my tax refund

1-I have over 100,000 miles...
You think my PS will go after so much abuse?
2-Where can i get some cool magnetic #s?
3-Post any cool pics you have of your car autocrossing smile.gif

Thanks a lot

If you haven't flushed the power steering fluid it is way over due. I know our systems are different but my LT1 roasts power steering fluid very quickly. If I let it go too long the pump will scream like a supercharger when I'm autocrossing.

You can get magnetic signs from any of the quick sign kind of places. The problem on our cars is the only metal is rear quarters and there isn't much room. You can see how small mine is in the pics below.

Absolutely recommend it. Start now. Get a turkey baster from the grocery store or KMart, suck out the old and enter the new. Keep it up until its clear. Then do it every time you use it hard.

It'll repay you manyfold for your efforts.

Make your own numbers!
just go to home depo or lowes and get the magnetic vent cover material (for homes). They come in three sheets of around 8x12" or so, depending on what they have of course. Trace out numbers & letters and then cut! easy. My last full set only cost me $4.
w/ a black car like yours, the white magnetic material will work great.

turkey baster is really the way to go? Suck as much as I can I guess?
Is that STP crap good because I get it for less than a dollar at work smile.gif

Tudds: we don't have any P/S cooling on the V6, so we can roast our fluid quickly depending on the conditions (autox in Tucson summmers are particularly bad).

I use the baster like described before. Every couple events, I suck everything I can out of the resivoir and refill with fresh. While I'm only getting about 1/3 of the fluid, I'm changing it often enough to keep it in half decent shape. I'm using the STP for now, but not the type with all the stop leak and seal conditioner additives in it.

I'm looking to plumb either the LS1 cooler that goes inline with the lower radiator hose, or using that copious underhood space we have to get a simple air to liquid cooler and attach it somewhere in the breeze.

I have two sets of 1 3 0 and also have two sets of F S P and a line to turn the F into an E. With this set, you can run FS and ESP and your choice of 3, 13, 30, 31, 130, 310. These magnets have been tested to 130mph wink.gif

If you cover the shipping, I'll send them to you. I have no need for them. I have since sold the car pictured.

In the car shown, I blew out the PS pump and replaced it with a Turn One PS pump. I also ran nothing but Red Line PS fluid and used the turkey baster method described above at track days and autocrosses.

As far as suspension is concerned, I suppose we could give advice after we know what class you plan to run.

The club I race with isn't like that with the classes really.
Theres A, B,C,D
Stock LS1 is a C I believe..
I've been a B on the border line of A
A is supposed to be high horse power cars
so I'd rather mod what I want because even if I did another event I'd probaly lose anyways no matter what class I'm in smile.gif
