Ok I know this has been covered, but I can't find the info.
I am runnng 315's on zr1's and I know I need a spacer in front. I installed the wheels and the rim is hitting a bump on the spindle arm. It looks like I need around 1/2 spacer.
Where is a good place to get spacers? Someone posted a link earlier but I can't find it.
Has anyone just ground off this bump? Will the wheels fit without a spacer in this case? I don't care about classes, I have no class!

Those look real nice, but are bit on the pricey side!
I just bought spacers from Summitracing.com for around $11 IIRC.

I agree on the price, but the fact that the 1/2" is hubcentric is a really nice feature. I hate spacers and if I needed a 1/2" spacer, that is the only style I'd run (that one or one like it).
I ground down the little bump on the spindle arm, put longer ARP lug studs in, used 7/32" spacers from Jegs, and 50 mm ofset AFR 17x11 wheels. Works great.

That's the most popular way for most autocrossers.
The spacer size will vary slightly (from person to person) but that is the same aproach I will use next year.
So will the spacers work without grinding the bumps at 7/32?
Man, Rippie is VERY proud of his stuff. $390 for a 17x11 wheel??? 
Depending on the class (as in ESP) it's not legal to grind that bump off. Otherwise, that would be all you would need to do.
1/4" spacer will do it with 50mm offset wheels. Of course you could get 36mm offset ZR-1's and not have to buy or do anything!!!! That's what I use in the front.
You want a hub-centric spacer, don't get anything else. You will need at least 1/4" longer studs in the front also.
I got mine at http://www.wheeladapter.com/ They are $40 each, not cheap but you don't want cheap if you're going to race on them. They're made from 6061-T6 billet aluminum.

That wheel (if it's the forgeline) retails for $590 from Forgeline. I need a couple more of those and will probably get them from Rippie.
Scratch that. $390 for ZR1's is insane. $490 for FOrgeline RS 17x11's is what I'm looking for 2 more of.
little offtopic but... DRM wheel spacers are $115 for a paiR!!!!!!! omg, i thought CCW hubcentric spacers were expensive @$20 each

Hello... is this thing on? *tap, tap*. I swear I just told you like two weeks ago that I deal directly with Forgeline. Remember????? Surely you'd rather deal with me than Doug Rippie? At least you know me.
Not only that, but they are in Dayton. If you want, I'm sure we could will-call them and save frieght (assuming you'd want to drive over there). And that price is not cheap for ZR1's, but I suspect they are REAL GM wheels and add the DRM price tag to it, you'll get a chunk of change.

I have a 7/32" spacer and still grinded the bump on the spindle.
I can go 40 apiece, I don't want a wheel coming off at road atlanta.
Steve, what thickness spacers did you go with?
I was worried about the hubcentric spacers. It says they are for corvette, since my z06 wheels from my z06 had to be filed a bit to fit on the camaro hub (rear). SO anyone know the dimensions on the hub of the z06 and z28?

I use 1/4" but I use mine on the rear with my 50mm wheels. I don't need them on the front because I use 36mm offset wheels.
You can take a hand grinder and grind the bump a little just to be real sure but most people don't have to. It's not a very big bump and wouldn't take 2 or 3 minutes to grind.
If I get a chance, I'll put my spacer on the front and bolt on the 50mm wheels to be sure but I've never heard anyone say that a 50mm with 1/4" spacer didn't work.
I actually mounted my 50mm's on the fron by accident. Other than a little grinding by the wheel on the bump, everything fit!!! Minor detail, you know??
