As you know, I'm undecided between the Recaro SRD and the Corbeau TRS.
I sat in the Recaro SRD in a local shop, and really liked the support.
Looking @ the #s, they are very similar to the Corbeau TRS, which Sam is having a GP.
The thing is that I live in Canada, customs and tx are a killer.
Going with the GP, and the seats trimmed on the butt area, so that I don't sit too high, will cost me $550/seat... $1100 for both seats.
I figure 100$ in shipping... so $1200.
Now the fun part is that it translates to ~$1450 CAN$
Duties will charge me a good $100 CAN$ and then a 15.025% tax awaits me on everything (even shipping and duties)
$1550 + tax = $1780... so I figure $1800 CAN$ to my door for both seats (Corbeau TRS)
Now, the shop that has the Recaro SRD, is trying to convince me to purchase them... I really love the way I sit in them and it's a Recaro... the hick... is that they are red and non-leather... but the guy is selling them for 699$ CAN$, but will even give me a deal if I get both.
So figure $1400 for both.
I have some contacts on leather uphoster, but have no clue how much it will cost... will give them a call on monday to check it out... for sure they can match the leater color, and it'll be a Recaro that I know I love for sure...
Now let's say it costs $300 /seat for upholster... so each seat will cost $1000 CAN$, so 2000$ + tax = 2300$, but I would have Recaro's with perfect leather matching.
I'm even thinking of having the SS logo added on the seats

What would you guys do ????
by the way... does anyone have pics of Recaro SRD in their cars ????
I know some of you have them.
I contacted Corbeau so that I could find a close Corbeau shop where I could sit in them... but the closest one is 6hr drive

I know they sell them in lots of places in the Montreal area, but noone stocks them.

I'd like to know what the Corbeau feel like when seated in them, and support Sam

but I don't want to face unpleasant surprises either...
I hate this... I wanna try some Corbeau TRS to give it a chance.

Thanks for the feedback,
