I got my decals today and put them on.

...and yeah, I know, the "R"s are too big. I've already re-ordered smaller one.

It still put me in a good mood.

On the advice of my decal maker, I am going for a blue/yellow theme. Blue car, yellow decals, blue suit, gloves, neck brace, yellow harness, yellow trailer...

Opinions? I am tough, let me have it if you don't like it.

Looks good. What's all that white stuff on the ground? wink.gif

Very nice photos, good use of fill flash to get the interior. I could see you in a window reflection. Sorry, photography is also a passion of mine.

BTW, your car looks great. How close are you to the weight to power ratio of 9.5 to 1? Have you had yours rated on an approved dyno yet?

I am hoping to get mine ready to enter in an AI event or two. Where did you get the decals--the AI and others?

And no, it wasn't geeky.

Steve

i like the blue and yellow idea... but you need some graphics or stripes.. looks like an autocross car with just the numbers and letters on it

Hey Josh, for graphics what do you think of something like this for my car in yellow?

I've talked to the maker and he will remove the bowtie emblem and shorten the graphics so they start at the rear of my numbers. I think it has potential, but I'm looking for ideas, just like Keith is.

Steve - No I haven't had the car dynoed yet. The previous owner said that it dynoed at 293. I haven't modified it so that's where it will end up. There is a dyno place a few miles from my house, but I've been waiting for a dry (on the roads) day. They've been hard to come by. In addition, I haven't sorted out my trailer so towing it to the shop isn't an option. ...I gotta get that trailer straightened out! As far as the decals are concerned, one of our local autocrossers can do decals. He can pretty much make anything that you can give him on a JPEG file. I originally had a pretty fancy idea that incorporated the NASA and American Iron Logos, but it would have covered the whole damn door and looked pretty stupid. Since I am not visually artistic, I decided to leave it alone. As far as your comments on my photography goes, any neat features were purely accidental.

Mike - I had actually forgotten about the color of your numbers. We're gonna look like two guys who showed up for work with the same shirt and pants. tongue.gif BTW - you might be on to something with that decal maker on e-bay. Those are nice and not overdone.

prockbp - you're right about the lack of flash. I think that once I put the Type-R stickers on it, it will help some. I suppose my car will be an evolution as I come up with ideas.
