Well i tried all this year to get off the mountain roads and on the track, but there was allways something that took the money mad.gif

I've been saving money for (hopefully)my first ever OT at WILLOWSPRINGS on the 12/13 feb.I know the best mod you can do is to the nutball behind the wheel, but my bird still has ALL of the stock suspension under her :blink:she does have ls1 front brakes with hawks hp+ and i should get to setting the allingment this weekend.

Ive been passing up GP on Sam's bars and 17x11 and buying some good(better) shocks! This was the right move, right?

thats what i thought, but the car is a hand full.A cage and seats/belts would be nice along with a T2R 17x11/victor's and shocks/spring,and bars would be really nice, but i think will have to wait!

I do need a trailer incase i break ph34r.gif

I would say get some good brake fluid, flush the brakes and get started.

...if it is a handfull....and I AM SURE it will be given the amount of stock parts you mention....just be careful and drive within your/the car's limits...take note on what you don't like and develope a priority list of what to attack first...

I would at least check/change all the bushings/endlinks first. Kinda maintenance stuff first. Then go drive!

You'd want to spend some time getting a feel for the car according to your driving style before you decide what you want to get next.

Some people drive better soft, some like the rates higher, it's driving style. Since there's no right setup for everyone, figure out what you want/need before you go buying stuff you'll end up replacing later...

Im going to just set the alignment and try and find a trailer,oh and triple check everything.

The end link's have been changed, along with the brake fluid(way to much)

I know i can drive but i think when i get to HPDE 1 i'll have to keep my confidence/cockyness to my self and just LISTEN biggrin.gif

Haven't actually done any RR here but a few o my friends do. In knowing them and the wear on their cars, I would also suggest having a spare set of rotors just incase.
......cheapies not the high dollar ones. wink.gif

As for what to invest your money in, that I can speak on as AX and RR are parallel in this respect.....you want the seat time.

Now everyone states that but I go a step further and explain. It's not only to shape up the "nut" behind the wheel but lets say you did purchase some "mods" - how would you then know what works better and what impeeds your progress......the only way is to start from scratch and build off of that.

Good luck, be safe and most of all have fun.

this year... I'm investing all the $ on seats and seat time wink.gif

Seat time, seat time, seat time, and even more seat time. This should never be a question for you, ALWAYS go for seat time first, and anything else second.

The few important exceptions to this would be for repairs, maintenance, or safety upgrades.

If you are limited on what to spend the money on, suspension-wise, I think shocks would be the best thing to start on. That's the impression I get from talking to Sam too.
