felton316
I bought myself a Strano 35mm sway bar. Merry Christmas to me.
firehawkclone
saving for track time :drive:
Teutonic Speedracer
I bought myself enough parts in the last few months to cover the next 5 Xmas'. Nobody in my family will by "car parts" related presents for me.....thus I got tools, tools, and more tools.....which are really to contribute to installation and modifying of "car parts"..... cool.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif
BCinU
I got a helmet hanger for my rollcage. biggrin.gif
Crazy Canuck
tbyrne GP on HID lights... so I got 2 sets of those... low-beams + high-beams... looking forward to installing them this coming week.
ESPCamaro
I bought myself the HF Jack that was on sale a week ago.

My wife bought me a bunch of tools. Including another welder (the one I had used, my father loaned out, and it never came back)

The best part was all the stuff Santa brought my son!! thumbup.gif
Bald54
I bought my son a HF impact wrench so he can change my wheels at the autocross events. I don't think he was real thrilled about that gift. I told him it's a gift that keeps on giving. wink.gif
Dewey316
I got a new air compressor. A gift cert to the local parts store, and a copy of latest race car engineering. biggrin.gif

And... This year I didn't blow it, and give car related gifts. 2 years ago, I learned that my sister does not get nearly as excited as I do, when opening up a new pair of shocks (her car did need them, and I even installed them for her.)

The only thing better than car parts for xmas is a pistol or rifle wink.gif

That AR15 is a pistol with a 20" barrel? I only know firearms from playing games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and Counter Strike and thought I remember the AR15 being a rifle...

Yes the ar15 is a rifle-I bought it off a friend of mine. wink.gif I ordered a carry holster for a new pistol which I didn't mention-springfield armory XD .40.

They actually make AR15 pistols though they are kind of impractical.

Rob, you should have asked me. I have a friend who would be glad to get rid of, er, uh, sell you his XD .40. It's picky about ammo (unlike his Smith and Wesson .40) and he wants it gone. I don't think he's shot 200 rounds through it.

I should pick up my new carry pistol on Monday if it comes in. I guess I'm old school, I ordered a S&W Airlight .38 special. I was (and will) buy the Scandium frame .357 mag (same size), but I decided to try this one and make sure I liked how it fit/carried. I'll either sell it to a friend or give it to my wife and order the .357 after I try it.

Of course my Beretta 92 is off at Beretta getting repaired (new pistol, wouldn't cycle properly if at all???). While it's there I'm having a trigger job done on it by the factory. And, I've got 2 more 15 round mags coming in the mail (I have 2 10 rounders and 2 15 rounders now, I've got 2 more coming free as part of a promotion from Beretta). However, this will probably be my last purchase from Beretta after dealing with their service department. They seem to go out of their way to be hard to deal with (unlike smith and wesson or Ruger who have both been outstanding when something was needed). And, Beretta gives you a 1 year warranty (my weapon went back to them within 2 months, but that was because it took me that long to get to the range with it).

2 month's ago for a wedding present my now wife bought me a Milwalkee 18V 240ft-lb cordless impact. For Christmas she had a bunch of family go in together to get me HP Tuners software (well money so I can buy it, she knows to let me order it so it's just right). Got a cheap set of around the house tools, because I keep my chests of tools up at my parents; I live in an apartment. I think I have some money left over to get a Forza race seat, maybe.

I've got about 250 through mine and it hasn't malfunctioned yet. He should send it back to Springfield. They can fix the problem. I fixed mine before I ever shot it. I just took a dremel and polished the ramp and smoothed the edge leading into the chamber and the edge at the top. Some need more some need less.

I ordered a stainless one since their finish doesn't seem as nice as a glocks. Now if I can just learn how to shoot better.

Nice toy. Looks like the Germans are following GM's lead and stuffing the motor under the dash. That may be worse than a 4th gen to work on (since it's not a VW, I think you may be able to avoid finding out).

I got motor mounts for the green car (OE, sorry, nothing fancy for an F stocker!), and a spare tranny mount. And brake pads. smile.gif

You only got 313,000 miles out of a set of motor mounts????? Man, I guess they just don't build them like they used to. Those shouldn't be worn out yet..... wink.gif
robz71lm7
Why couldn't more women receive motor/tranny mounts, brake pads and be happy?!? Of course most women or men can't drive like Karen. thumbup.gif

Its actually not as bad as it looks. Plus thats not really the dash there above the motor. Its the housing for the cabin air filter so I think it may come off if I need it to.

I thought about an Audi too, but reliability isn't their strong suit and they don't offer anything in RWD. Its all AWD (unnessecary in FL) or FWD <barf>.

Actually, about 317K.... wink.gif

My parents also remarked on how happy I was when I pulled the motor mounts out of the box. A couple of years before that, they couldn't understand why I was ecstatic about a reluctor wheel (the ABS speed ring for the rear diff). Or front hubs. Or brake rotors..... the list goes on.... wink.gif

I originally said 330,000 and then I edited my post (figuring you couldn't be that far up there yet). Even so....

Karen, do you have a sister??? I'm sure you could find her a date around here (if she's looking). My wife might get a little upset about that, so I can only ask for others tongue.gif .

I can hear Karen now:

"Oh wow, a brand new reluctor, hubs and new rotors....you shouldn't have".

With my wife it would be:

"Oh wow, a brand new reluctor, hubs and new rotors....you better not have".

:leaving:

Girlfriend bought me Ground control coil overs.
Mom and dad bought me a 35 mm bar.
And I bought myself all the parts to do the C5 brake swap.
00 SS
I bought myself a Craftsman 14 drawer rolling tool chest with ball bearing drawer slides. I received several gigt certificates from family members. My old one was just too small. Now I can actually put all my tools away.

It's great having a wife that like cars. I bought her a Magnaflow cat-back for our aniversary and she was very happy.

The biggest car gift for me was time off work to install the UE TA without being rushed. The only significant parts Santa brought were new brake caliper brackets.

Got a couple of the biggies off my "offseason stuff to do" list. wink.gif
torontoZ28
my sister bought me a sony MP3 deck for my car, and my gf picked up the installation kit for it.

I appreciate all the business from all of you. I just was razzing Larry and Mike a bit since I know them. Gee, maybe I shouldn't have, as I know more and more of you all the time..... That list is getting long!

Sam, I'm starting to have that same problem. It seems that I'm slowly meeting "every f-body owner in the country" (and a few who are not in the country). If I've not already met them, it appears that I'll be meeting many of them this summer. It's funny how that works out.
