Any ill effects for removing the cruise control module on a LS1 with TCS? I'm slowly getting rid of non necessities. I don't ever use it, so it can sit on my shelf with the air pump and everything else.

I have a feeling it may trip a code, if the traction control is on, you slip, and it tries to modulate the throttle and can't?

Mine doesn't have T/C, so I removed it. It is a few pounds and continues to simplify the chaos under the hood, as did the removal of the A/C, AIR, and HVAC.

I might as well give it the good 'ole college try. Worst case scenario, I have to plug it back up or find a way to simulate it.

If I were you, I would just unplug the module first and see what happens. The servo is in the module located behind the driver's side fog light. The cruise control cable is fished all the way up through the fender and then around the back of the motor before it gets to the throttle body.--It'd be somewhat of a PITA to install again.

I probably should have updated this. I did remove the cruise control module and all wiring and cables. I also pulled the TCS/ASR fuse. Not a single code or problem. The only side effect is once the car starts to move, the traction control automaticly disables itself.

I don't have traction control, but the cruise has been unhooked on my car for a couple years, just never hooked it back up after I took it out, no codes.
