Everytime under hard braking this light come's on,what is the car doing when this light come's on?Is the car using the ABS to regain control or something?I don't have any of the T/C stuff under the hood or on the rear axle.

So how do i disable this system?

setup
Stock 95 formula firebird suspension(LOTS! of nose dive)
LS1 f brake's w/HP+ pads and cooling ducts
275/40/17 street tire's fusion zr1

From my 2001 Z28 Owner's Manual:

"When your anti-lock system is adjust brake pressure to help avoiding a braking skid, this light will come on.

If you have the ASR system, this light wiall also come on when the system is limiting wheel spin. You may feel or hear the system working, but this is normal. Slippery road conditions may exist if the low traction light comes on, so adjust your driving accordingly. The light will stay on for a few seconds after the ASR system stops limiting wheel spin.

The low traction light also comes on briefly when you turn the ignition key to RUN. If the light doesn't come on then, have it fixed so it will be there to tell you when the anti-lock brake system or ASR is active."

I don't have ASR, and my "low trac" light has only come on a few times (when ABS is required) or when my rear end hops off the ground real bad.

Oh, and I had my manual handy since I'm trying to figure out what other than ABS or Airbags will set off the "service vehicle" light?

so do i just pull a fuse to disable it?

If it's under hard braking, it's gotta be your ABS. Is it happening when you think you'd still have traction? Are you running the same pads front to rear? Maybe you have too much front or rear bias? I'm curious to how easily the ABS is coming on. You can disable it by pulling the fuse, but I'm not sure that's what you really want to do.

The rear pads are just some crappy PFC from autozone.

Im just worried about it becuase the light stays on for a few(3 to 5)seconds, and im all ready through the corner.

There is absolutely no reason to disable it, it's just an informational light. It's telling you either:
1) ABS is active
2) your rear wheels are moving at a different speed than your fronts.

Contrary to what the manual says, even a non-ASR car will still get the light under certain circumstances when the rear wheels are moving at a different speed than the fronts, even if the brakes aren't engaged. I haven't quite figured it out, but both my 95 and my 97 (neither had/have ASR) will give me the light occassionally with rear wheel spin with no brake application.

If as you describe, it's happening under braking, then it's your ABS kicking in. Do NOT pull the fuse, as that would disable your ABS. Just at a guess, I would be that you're exceeding the traction limits of the tires and getting into ABS. I've got LS1 front brakes, and I know with Nitto 555 RIIs I could not get into ABS with stock pads, but with BFG KDWs I can occassionally (w/ Carbotech Panther XPs I could easily even on RIIs). If I can get into ABS on KDWs on stock pads, then I'm pretty sure you can with HP+ and Fuzions.

Yeah, that's what I said. Mine would come on when the rear hopped off the ground sometimes. I bet the reason your ABS keeps coming on is b/c you have such mismatched brake pads front to rear. Crappy rears with grippy HP+'s are going to drive the ABS crazy under hard driving.

I'll be leaving the fuse's in for ABS anyway, beside's i just found out its going to rain on my first day of my first OT event :drive:

I did pull the airbag fuse becuase i have a fullface helmat

That will be fun. My 1st OT event was in the rain. My instructor took the car out for the 1st few laps and told me the car was a handful and to respect it. I did, and had a lot of fun. Wow, how time flys! That was almost 2 years and 25 track days ago. Good luck and have fun!
