I would say bad. The front hubs on an f-body are notoriously short-lived, and the Ebay link is apparently for salvage parts from various cars, so you really don't know their history or condition.

For $20 buy it now, its good as a track spare.

I'll find out soon. I'm going to run the used 40K miles hubs from my LS1 conversion this weekend. They were from a drag racer so I think they'll be ok. They're easy to change so why not?

It seems to me that even the reman hub from auto parts stores are hit-or-miss based on my own experience and based on some posts on this site. I put a used bearing on my car last October from my Dad's C4 and I am not convinced the one I replaced was bad so I kept it. I might buy one or two and see what happens.

What I've learned from all of the trouble people have with the replacement hubs is that when I need new ones, I'll probably pony up for new GM parts. Keeping in mind that the wheel bearings and brake calipers are the only things holding the wheels on (especially at OT speeds), and that the lifetime guarantee on the rebuilt parts seems to be gone now, the cheap alternatives don't seem so cheap.

Have any C5 Pro teams or teams using the FBody ever converted to individual bearing assemblies that can be cleaned and adjusted? Just wondering.

Well the Timken brand from autozone is probably just fine. Timken is a very good name in bearings. I know they make some OEM bearings in GM's. Of course whether they build them to a different spec for GM is the question.

Anyone know of an FBody using traditional bearings rather than the hubs? Should be easy for a custom Race shop to fab one?
