Is not a very rewarding process when you spend 40+ hours to remove 11lbs mad.gif

Anyway, I didn't take pictures all the way through the project but I did take a few. I didn't accomplish a ton of work over the last couple weeks, but at least most of the tedious work is done for a while.

Have to put a couple rivets in the firewall cover down by the trans tunnel, get a new set of plug wires [old one came apart in my hands, had to borrow the one off my buddy's Bronco to test], and put the dash back in. Then it's time to break out the welder and fix some holes in the floor. rant2.gif banghead.gif 2thumbs.gif

Yeah, I was dumb and kept putting it off. I had to pop $100+ for it blink.gif mad.gif

Not completely done, Randy, but everything from the dash forward is done. I have to take out the hatch pop wiring, but that'll be almost nothing.

Wow that's a lot of stinkin' wiring! No sure how "sensual" it looks, though. laugh.gif

Hah, I've had that domain forever and evidently the hosting company lost the billing during the two times they switched ownership because I haven't been billed in 2 years. Can't beat free web hosting though wink.gif

Wow that must have been fun, looks like radio shack threw up!
I should not laugh,I will be in that stage in a week or two. I say paint the roof white and call it a day. Vin

I probably would but the doors are rusted through/bondo filled, the passanger side fender could probably be saved, but my dad wadded up the driver's side last summer by backing into it.

So, the girl is going to get some fresh sheet metal biggrin.gif

I'm thinking black body, white roof, white interior.

Yeah I have a similar deal; about two years for me also. But I keep wondering when they are going to come back and say, "hey you've been using this, now we want some money."

She's in the process of getting a new fender, pair of doors, and a bumper.

The new driver's side door is gutted and just needs to be hit with a DA. The passenger side needs to have a window-ectomy yet, but the driver's side only took me an hour.

It's amazing to see the difference between the crash bar in the '86 doors I'm putting on and the factory '90 doors that are coming off. The bar in the older doors easily weighs twice as much and is over twice as large. I'll see if I can get some pics later.

Oh, BTW, the wiring is completely done and the wipers work! banghead.gif rotf.gif beerchug.gif

Dang, looks like you did a better job then I did. beerchug.gif

I haven't been brave enough to start wiring things from scratch yet.

Eventually it'll just be a switch panel but there's a lot of other things to be completed by July 9th-10th which is the next track day.

More wiring!!!

Put an LT1/T56 in a 92 1LE/B4C car...and made everything
work. The SES lamp, all the gauges, etc. Went from an 8bit
comp to a 16 bit and still used the factory cluster!

Lots of work, but it looked stock when we were done.

Costas
cars and such...
