Full Version: what an event.
Ran an event yesterday. A 1st gear course, but I took the class, and should PAX pretty well. BUT, we had one competitor's Honda throw a rod and catch fire, we had another go through a chain link fence in his Boxster, breaking a lower control arm, a wheel, and scratching up the body. But by far the worse carnage of the day was a guy that slipped while climbing the fence, and damaged a place we guys do not want damaged. He was taken to a local hospital where he received 7 stitches. He came back later in the day to take his car home, and seemed to be doing pretty well.
Ouch!!!! 
Man! Now there's a campfire tale!

me thinks the Darwin theory was in full effect.

Someone was telling me about this last night... maybe Chris Perera, but no, it was at Manchester High School. And it was an SR20DE driver who had the personal "fence" incident....

What exactly is a 1st gear course and how do you end up driving through a fence when doing something that slow?
