Funny, Mark Valera is signed up and appears to be codriving your black car with Pat.

I'll be there. Anyone up for driving 30 miles north or so to Michigan to Cabellas?

I guess we need to come up with an alternate plan if Karen wants to drive her car. I know Lonnie will be there, and Sam's white car will be there (with Big Enos' tires) ...

So is Brian driving Sam's car? Should give us a better comparison between each other. (as in I'll get killed this time) I didn't realize his car was so stock.

Phil you've got your car squared away right. I'm sure your going to be faster now that your using ALL your tire. Funny. Who would ever think an ESP 4th gen would have TO MUCH negative camber?

Aaron what's the scoop on making a full class in ASP? Karen? K/R?

Some money would be nice........And your gonna need 5 folks for that.

Kevin come on up. Heats run on and off all day Sat, and Fri is practice starts and course walkign as well as welcome "dinner". (Subway) It's really laid back on Fri. Practice starts start at 2:00 and run until 5:00 I think. Then the courses open for walking.....These big events are really more laid back than you'd probably imagine.

It remains to be seen if my car will be there or not (whether it is or isn't, I'll be in the MR2 even though Van Michael offered his Viper again). smile.gif

Brian is trying to work out logistics. I guess Phil offered his car to run on Brian's tires too, which is being considered.

All I know is I offered the car if Brian want's to come get it and run on his tires (and put gas in it). cool.gif

What happened to his car???

If he is interested he could co-drive with me. Maybe pay my entry and he can use my tires and car.....I'm looking to save money wherever I can on this one...

Clutch. He doesn't think he can have it fixed by then.

I thought Mark Valera said that Lisa was bringing their car out.

Eh. Maybe I'll just run a shifter kart. Or stay home. tongue.gif

The car is awesome. Set it back to where Sam said to run it all along. I ran the North East divisional last weekend. I had my 21mm bar in on Saturday which doesn't work well at FedEx and I was struggling keeping the back end from coming around. Sunday I had my 19mm bar and was faster then everyone in ESP. The car is the best it has ever been, so I have no excuses for Toledo. Well I just got out of the shower after fixing a front end clunk. I really hate fixing problems 2 days before leaving for a big event; this is my year of chasing car problems.

I thought I was doing a freind a favor, but seems like I'm messing things up. tongue.gif Of course I think I would rather drive the car that won Nats rather then mine.
BigEnos
Hey you all. 'bout time I registered here I reckon.

Thanks for the offer, Lonnie. I think I'll be bringing a car out of some kind. Still undecided, though. Phil, I do appreciate the offer and you are not messing anything up. Just trying to figure out what's going to work best is all.

Lonnie, I thought you had a Z06 ride all lined up for Toledo? :drive:
35th_Anniversary_AS_Camaro_SS
1. Karen - spoke with Mark V today, Lisa IS driving his car out there
2. Lonnie - Danny agreed to let Karen drive in ASP. Of course if you want to drive in ASP you're more than welcome to. Stephen & Matthew came along after you and you were gracious enough to help me out with the tires back in April. If you want to run ASP I'll tell Karen and she can stay in L2, which if I was her she might prefer b/c she'd probably get into the ladies challenge. I do kinda want to kkeep the runs down on these tires b/c it looks like I might be using them for Nationals and they seem to die after 50-60 runs.

Edit: I'll be in Chicago tomorrow night and Thursday, give me a call on my cell if you need me, I hope you still have it.

Boy did I luck out when my number came up on the "pick-a-wife" line!

Lisa is driving out the Blue Z28 for it's first Pro Solo. I'll be flying in that night.

And to think, even up until two days ago, I didn't have thoughts of Toledo on my mind.

So I take it you don't need The Black Car?

Can I ditch The Black Car for Danny's car, too?? biggrin.gif

Thank You Pat for the offer of the Black Car !!

Since I have a willing wife who is going to drive out the blue car on Thursday, we'll stick to shredding our rubber just one more time.

Now then, if that black car is going to feel really lonely in Topeka, we might have to talk! biggrin.gif

Hey you all. 'bout time I registered here I reckon.

Geez, I've only been trying to get you here for 2 years.....

Welcome Brian!

If you can get to Columbus, Oh tomorrow night, we can have a clutch in that thing by late evening, early friday morning (I have to work, but I have help that can get around my garage just fine if I have to go to sleep at 3am). I just did an LS1 clutch (and the lessons from that one are fresh in my mind), I've done T56 swaps in 3rd gens, installed a clutch in another T56 third gen, done T5 swaps in 3rd gens (and 3 clutches after that). We can get a clutch in it if needed. And, I have plenty of tools. Then, it's a 2-3 hour tow to toledo from my place.

I have several problems for this weekend.

1. I'm supposed to be crew chief for an AV8SS team this weekend.

2. I've been requested to appear in Toledo this weekend. (and would like to come)

3. My wife's flight from the west coast lands at 8:30 on Saturday night. So, I may not be going anywhere unless I can get her to grab a ride home with her co worker or have a friend pick her up for me.

But, we can install a clutch if needed.

Thanks for the offer, Kevin, but I don't have the parts yet anyway and with only a 5th in class so far this year I don't think even a 1st place finish would put me where I'd need to be to have a chance at a year end award. I'm doing this event because I love ProSolo burnout.gif , and as such any car will do. Just so happens the three I've been offered would all make fantastic choices!

FWIW I just ordered a centerforce DF and hopefully I'll have it on the lift Monday or Tuesday after I get back. I have a school day where I can practice and one DC event before Topeka so I should have a little time to sort it out.

Jegs is 1.5 miles from my front door...... Parts? We can get parts....

No problem, just thought I'd offer. LT1's are not too bad (LS1's have interesting pitfalls if you goof....and I did) to do a clutch swap. If it was needed, we could get it done.

However, it appears that you do have the offer of a good seat for the job.

I'm not sure if I'll make it up or not. I'm considering going to Beaver Run Friday night, getting the car setup and hanging out as long as I can on Saturday, then grabbing my wife at the airport on my way back into town and hoping the car gets through Sunday without any troubles. I might run up early Sunday, but my wife seems to think I should spend Sunday with her after she was out of town all week.....Hmmm.

I think we've got enough Centerforce clutches here to build a house (and I might try...).

Yeah you. I actually ordered it from Jegs. Apparently there was a price increase but you guys are still selling at the old price. Thanks! beerchug.gif
