LG G2 springs, Revalved Bilsteins, and a lot of weight taken off the front end.



Oh, and this is the front stretch at Watkins Glen....can't tell exactly where, but it's probably in
the 100-125mph range.

how much camber are you running?

I have a pic of myself at nelsons ledges at T12, i'm doing 100-125mph myself, but on softer springs (eibach) at the time 32/19mm bars, and then i think i had -1.6* of camber. with that amount of camber, i'm not sure if i had the tire in the air, but about as close as it gets, the right side of the car was loaded pretty good. i can post the picture if you want to see it.

It looks like the outside of your tire is in the air a little, but you've still got the inside of that tire supporting some weight

Dennis what does the car look like just sitting? To me it look's like you have just come out of a right hander(the wheels are turned just a little) and you are putting the power down!

That photo looks like it was taken after the Start/Finish tower on the front straight, almost at the brake zone at turn 1.

... you gotta remember that at those speeds, hard on the throttle, that the amount of air being put into the engine compartment without any relief is going to 'lift' the front end.

I had the same issues when I ran my SS at these high speed tracks.

I agree with PF, looks like the front straight where they added the 4th tier of armco for the IRL guys. Could be that the rear is squatting under hard acceleration since the front straight goes downhill sharply as you approach Turn 1. Also, the armco gets progressively lower as you near the brake zone. However, if it is lift, it's kind of sobering since rear straight speeds are higher. Do you remove the weather strip at the cowl to vent under hood air?

I think it is by the tower on the front stretch at WGI. The turn before that is a right hander,
but it is kinda far back from there. I'm running -2.2 deg of camber, and a 35mm front bar. I'll
try to host a picture of the car at rest. Oh, and I didn't remove the seal on the back of the hood.

... you're getting the lift due to the pressure under the hood. It's all negated as soon as you lift off the throttle and apply the brakes, though.
A picture of the car at rest will probably show the car at least an inch lower than this posted picture.
All of it has nothing to do with the bar or camber.

I know, but people asked! Wow, so there is that much lift from under the hood. I hear so many mixed reviews about the wicker bill in the back of the hood. I hear it is good for cooling too, and if it helps prevent front aero lift that would be good too. But there are a bunch of people against it too. I'll have to investigate further. The hood does flex hop around quite a bit by the windshield (fiberglass VFN).

Dennis i did this in 15mins(after reading this) but there is a good 2" gap now that you may not want to have in NJ with all the rain/snow

That's a big gap! I don't drive it on the street much at all or in the winter....so it's not a concern. Did you just shim it like crazy?

No shim's, i just removed the rubber seal and some plastic
