Who all is planning on going to the Houston National Tour coming up 3rd & 4th of April? What about all the Divisionals later in the year for that matter?
I've gone to the NT and divisionals last couple years and FS and ESP have been pretty weakly subscribed. If only 3-4 cars enter for a class, its no fun!
I'm thinking about going w/ a co-driver, so that may be 2 for FS.

Only 3-4cars...I may stand a chance.

I will probably go just for the fun on it and to see just how slow I am compared to everyone else, plus there is always something to learn at these events.

I went to Houston two years ago (codrove Chris Ramey's white C4, only I ran it in BSP), and had a blast. Brian Matteucci has offered use of his car this year, but since he probably has a DSP codriver already, I'd have to run in SM (no, I don't want to run in DSPL). There is also the matter of his car being ready... it may not not ready to go by the first weekend in April.
I would like to go; Frank Bryan has tentatively offered his FS car as a codrive, and I wasn't sure if anyway else was
definitely looking for a codriver. I have a little experience in F-bodies, though I only finished 11th in FS at Nationals last year.

I didn't even renew my SCCA membership this year.
They put on good events in Houston, so I am sure this will be a good one. I assume they are at the dog track?

I am seriously thinking on going. Not 100% committed yet, but it is looking pretty good.
Morgan, you gonna make Corey pay for some of those tires?? ;-)

Well, see there is this little story about a big guy trying to ride a bigger bike. hmmm, yeah. Corey had a GSXR 1100 and I, uh, dumped it. I bought a new rim, mirrors, lights, etc. Still had body fairing damage. He Ebay'ed the bike and made some money even with damage. So we worked it out that usage of one full set of new tires was the final payment. Works for me, works for him. Good competition too.

I sent in my yearly SCCA membership dues and have a '04 rule book, so I have less and less excuses on not going. Also have another decent set of tires. My co driver wants to go too. May end up a good event if enough FS guys go. You should go, Costas. Great competition. Get Frank and others too. I was planning on doing a weekend at Motorsports Ranch the week before. But I may cancel MSR and do the NT instead.

Well, I need the '04 rulebook (solo AND gcr...I got the 04 rally at the crnc last weekend in missouri) and I should be set. I'm not buying any tires, the old toyo's will have to suffice. I would imagine Frank is going too. I will be instructing at MSR the weekend before (that is the TDE weekend, right?) so I guess I'll just leave the car in the trailer!! Butters (Miller) should be there (92 b4c/1le like mine) from houston, so we may actually have a class. Maybe I can talk Wendi into running her Z28 also. She needs to experience more than just the annex. :-)
You still need the exh manifold???

yeah, I'll probably need the manifold. I want to check a few things on my car middle of next week after I get another put together and out of the garage.
Get that girl some tires while you're at it. If you are looking for rims for her, I know a local guy who has a set of 16x8 4th gen f-body rims for $50. Kinda beat up but still usable, so he says.
The MSR event I'm talking about is the 27th & 28th of March (BMW club). You're instructing for that one? I may be going, haven't decided.

She has play wheels! In fact, they are salad shooters and we want to paint the middle black and leave the edge silver (JUST like yours!)....She has some 2000 firebirds for daily-driver use. She really isnt ready for 'r' tires yet, but we have good play tires on the shooters.
Whoops, I thought that was a TDE weekend at MSR.....I don't instruct for BMW and therefore probably won't be there that weekend. HAVE FUN, its a fun track whichever direction you run!
Good luck on the projects....I know I am buried too!

I have already signed up for BMW in March, so if you decide to do that be sure to say hi. There should be a good F-body turnout, I know of at least three that will be there.

Well, it's official. I'm signed up as SM 34, driving a DSP BWM 325.

Hopefully, it is still running in three weeks, so I don't have to go panhandling for a ride when I get there Friday night!

And.... I've already changed my ride. Considering the run/work order has SM and DSP both running in the first heat, that's probably a good thing. But, I'll be running STS in Gerry Terranova's Honda Civic. After the beating I got last weekend, I figured I'd see how much was driver and how much was the car.

It was a great time. Congrats to Morgan for his FS win (what a b-day present to yourself)! I defected to the blue oval camp for the weekend and ran Mason Melkowits's ESP Mustang... didn't drive particularly well, but I still had a lot of fun.
