I am looking for a the heater box (no core) for a 3rd gen f-body that did NOT have Air Conditioning.

Anybody have one or know of somebody that has one?

I picked up a heater box off e-bay this passed winter. It turned out to be one off an S-10, but after a mods with a Dremel and creating a 1/2 inch wood spacer for the fan it worked just fine.

A Camaro's heater box has a D shaped opening for the fan speed resistors to be mounted. The S-10's is rectangular shaped. You'll ether need a blower fan from a non-AC car or make a 1/2 spacer to allow the AC blower fan to work.

This is good example of a correct heater box an fan:

PM Bubba353Z here on the board, he bought a few and had (or had, not sure) more than one of them.

I've got two of them around here somewhere. One is just the box w/ resistor, and the other is complete with fan and resistor. You're actually better reusing the original fan, as the 1LE fan only has three speeds.

I can't say for sure until I dig them out, but I think they are both the Camaro version. I'd be willing to sell the box only - it's got some surface rust, but I think it would clean up fine with a wire brush and paint / POR-15. I havent decided if I want to put the A/C back in, so I'm saving the better of the two in case I want to finish the A/C delete.

If you want some pics - let me know. I forget what I bought it for, but I'd sell it for $40 + shipping.

axoid: Thanks for the tip on the S10 box, they should be much easier to come by than a camaro box.
