For those of us in TX/LA, whats the weather like at your place? Im in College Station, and its upper 80's, sunny, some clouds, and dry as a bone. We havent seen a single drop of rain.

I'm on the southwest side of Houston. We might have had 50mph winds and I measured a whopping .25" of rain. I'm actually going to have to run the sprinklers tomorrow. It was awfully anticlimactic for us, but that's a good thing. By far the biggest we had/have is gasoline supply. Lots of stranded cars got left on the highways. I seriously have no idea how anything in Houston is going to function this coming week. We have no gas in any stations, and therefore no way to get to work, school, etc. I have enough in my family to get to the grocery stores and such, but I don't know about the rest our normal activities. Beaumont got it pretty hard, but I am really feeling for western LA. And New Orleans is really the bad-luck poster child this summer!

Yep, 60 mph winds, and not enough rain to make up for the rain deificite we have. Still, we are quite blessed that we didn't have to evacuate, and that both our houses are still standing. We REALLY dodged a bullet this time!!
