Autocrossers, Inc. is having an autocross this Saturday Oct. 8 at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Md. We'll probably have walk-ups, but you can pre-register and pre-pay through the link on our website, http://www.autocrossersinc.org.

Looks like thee Sammy Strano will be there in his ESP car and probably Brian Burdette (Big Enos) and Phil Knowles (pknowles) in their ESP cars. Not to mention me in my ESP car. blink.gif

Hmm.... My wife says I can come, and I'm thinking about it. Let me see if:
  • I'm coming.
  • If I have a co pilot or not
  • If I can use my friends trailer tag (since I don't have the papers to register it yet)
  • If I can get everything I need done, done by then
If I do make it, and I'm co pilot free, I'll let you co drive if you'd like Aaron. My car may not be the best seat in the house, but it's not a bad place to sit. tongue.gif

Of course, I just talked myself out of driving to Cincinatti and I'm considering Aberdeen, MD. Of course, I can swing by my parents on the way to and from the event which makes it better.

One last question.....

If you were semi slow like me and had your choice of CP, SM or SM2, where would you run? I was looking at the results and it looks like a crap shoot between the three. Is there a class out of those that's "slow" or any that are particularly fast? (I'm not too proud to pick the easiest class that I can run and see if I can win it.....). SM gives me the best PAX.

At our last event, I was 16th in raw time (out of 123 cars), but pax'd 46th. So, I'm still not real fast.

Sounds intreguing. Kevin, do you have a timeline on the excursion?

Tonight, I try to get my front wheel bearings loose and swapped with the others that I have.

If that is successful. I will double check the weather there (so far, 27% chance of rain), if that works out, I should register by Thursday evening.

I would pull out of Columbus after work on Friday (possibly leaving 2 hrs early so I can get out of town early...before 4pm). Spend Friday night at my parents house (124 miles from Aberdeen). Drive to the event on Saturday morning, run the event, return to my parents on Saturday night. Drive back to Columbus on Sunday morning (leaving by noon, home by 6).

We'll see how the wheel bearings go.

Not well. Actually, they won't budge. So, until I can change front bearings, I'm not going too far. This sucks, I really wanted to make this event. It sounded like a good time.

I'm considering just buying a set of new spindles and a set of bearings and starting over. Or, taking a 20 ton shop press to mine (then buying a new set of spindles and bearings and starting over.... rant.gif ).
