I didn't use red rivets as the paint I had never cured hard enough and would marr very badly, even after sitting for quite some time.

what's the use of that? does it reduce weight? or are you using it for extra air like the older rx-7 or supras?

It's done to look pretty. Actually to save weight by removing all the heavy hardware.
