Was checking out some of their stuff. Look through their galleries, some pretty intense f-bodies (drag race), but still cool. They do some roadrace vette stuff. They provide a lot of info in the "How To Build High Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V8's". I never knew about the timing chain tensioner that GM's makes but did not provide from the factory b/c of cost. Also, drilling holes in the lifter trays, etc.

They do a few motors for the World Challenge guys. I would love to pick up one of there 402 crate motors.

I've been thinking about that chain damper/tensioner. I need to find out if my replacement short block is drilled and tapped for one, or not. And the spacing. If I'm lucky, it's the 1.8" spacing, which means I can use the $10 one. Otherwise it's the 2.2" spacing and it takes the $100 one.

The 1.8 is black, 12588670. The 2.2 is tan, 88958607.

I think I'm going to pull my cam out tomorrow and check to see which tensioner mine takes too....hope its the cheap one.

I found the book on Amazon. It took almost a month to come. It's decent b/c it has multiple engine build ups with a lot of pictures. Nothing earth shattering, but helpful because it is all in one book. It's about $15. By Will Handzel.
