Wow, that's cool. Now you are a professional race car driver!
I wish those guys were local 'cause I'd love to try a Z06 at speed.

Note the time I posted that and now this time stamp ....
Damn! what a day!
It should be illegal to have as much fun as I did today AND get paid for it.
Don Barnes is an old Panoz driver and runs the TDE show. He had me go out for a few laps and then I came in and he jumped in the car for an evaluation. We made 2 laps around Texas Motor Speedway infield course and he told me to go in ...
We got out and took me to the side and told me to NOT take a customer around the track at that speed. He said he never had an issue with my driving, but I couldn't take the customers at that pace. It was a compliment and I was very humbled by it.
He worked my ass off ... I imagine I either drove or rode close to 200 laps today ...

That is cool Mitch! Do they allow you to also drive your own car in the event? That's the usual deal with most organizations I have dealt with in the West. No $, just track time which is the same as $ in my book!

Sweet!!! One of the guys here at work recently went to do a track day in corvettes (apparently corvette owners rent track corvettes because they wouldnt dare abuse their corvette that way

) Anyway the thing looked similar to what you guys are doing, only on the right coast. Congrats man, that's one hell of a way to stay sharp over winter break.

Yeah ... sure, Guy ...
Al, I'm gonna discuss with them about taking the Vettes to MSR-Houston so that I can get some seat time on that brand new track ... a track NASA will hit 3 times next season ...

Excellent Cheating Bastard* move!!!
* Disclaimer in light of recent events:
"Cheating Bastard" is a term coined by Doug Hayashi which means the namee has done or is about to do something that is both within the bounds of the applicable rules and at the same time brilliant and sure to reward namee with an advantage vs their competitors. Being called a Cheating Bastard in no way means you are actually cheating. Fundamentally all racers are "Cheating Bastards" in the sense that they all try to get the upper hand on their rivals. Some are just better at it than others, and therefore deserve special praise.
