Tilled up the garden spot
Rebuilt the fuel system on a chainsaw
Cut down a dead tree next to house
Trimmed trees with saw
Cut and stacked ALL the freaking wood
Prepped for painting the house
I did buy the wife a present today ... a Homelite string trimmer.
She seemed happy. And then off to Whataburger for lunch.
I know what women want ...

Today it was windy and in the 30's with scattered light snow and rain most of the day. I spent my time inside and in the garage.
Good news is my travel to Mexico is ramping up. Sunny and in the 70's there. Less time to work on the car, but warm weather is in my immediate future.

You know, I have about 350,000 frequent flyer points now. By the time I get a good chance to use them my wife and I could probably fly to Hawaii 6 or 7 times. Oh well. Until then I'll keep reading you guys' stories about the good life.
BTW Mitch, did you get your wife a burger at Whataburger today?

Geez...I feel bad. I got up at 9am and did oil changes on our cars and then did my best impersonation of a lazy bum.
I did start to overhaul my website today....

Trees and chainsaws remind me of our cleanup after hurricane Isabe

l. I cut and hauled 11 truckloads of wood from my parents home, and several from mine. I've cut a lot of wood, but never that much, that fast. I'd hate to do it for a living.

Today, I washed my car and went for a spin in it... last time I drove the SS was Halloween evening.
Feels good to drive it again.

80s are not normal temps for the San Francisco bay area and many folks there don't have AC in their cars or homes. I live about 50 miles away near Sacramento and we can hear you guys complaining all the way up here!

.....yeah I work in the city, and it has been 80 IN THE CITY!!!

THAT NEVER HAPPENS!
I used to live in near the bay.....70 degrees 75% of the year EVERY DAY....now I moved 5 miles east....over the hill, and my house sees 90+ degrees ALL SUMMER LONG

....and i HATE HEAT!

We are used to heat here in the valley I live in. It gets up past 100F on a regular basis in the summer months. If cars don't come with AC here we don't buy them!
