Ryan asked myself and Glenn to try and break his suspension parts this past weekend competing in the Camaro/Mustang Challenge Series.

We had just built a new car, a '95 Z 28 and had a asked a very talented driver to fly to Texas and shake it down for us. The driver is a T2 nationals winner and very talented driver.

Ryan supplied us with rod end LCAs, rod end PHB, SFCs and STB, along with EGR block off plates.

When the parts arrived, I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail. A good example is a hex head built into the tube to allow the installer to grip the tube to tighten the jam nut. Very nice touch.

Everything went together as designed and without issue.

I must say, though, the SFCs tuck themselves up and into that channel better than any other brand I've seen. Nice job, Ryan.

The race weekend was a success and disappointing all at the same time. The car had some issues related to ignition and cooling, but we were able to get them sorted after a few tries. The car also had some handling problems, related to the spring selection ... too soft of a spring.

We were able to get things going our way by Sunday and won the "Hard Charger" award given by Performance Speed Tech because the car passed more car than anyone else during the race. Nicely done.

As far as the UMI suspension parts, I couldn't be happier. Post race inspection found them as bright and shiney as when they were installed. They performed well and show no signs of typical race wear and tear.

Props to UMI for engineering a great suspension system.!

Good to see them beat on a bit, don't suppose he's going to send some upper and lower front control arms along with a K-member to test out is he?

Been pretty impressed with UMI as of late, seem to have a sincere interest in getting some really good parts out there and putting them out to be publically tested.

Those parts are not CMC legal. So, no I won't have an oppurtunity with them.

But if they are anything like what I have, they should be top notch ....
