Anyone heard about this? I was reading Hot Rod mag I believe, and they had a blurb about the Solstice, iwth the "Z0K" package, that was meant to directly compete in SCCA class, SSB I believe? If I read it right, they even have PN's for sticky roadracing tire straight from GM itself??? They also had some PN parts for other stuff, like a hardtop roof?

Sounds interesting..

BTW, adding a LS7 in their project Solstice put in 700 extra lbs, which they had to work to try to negate thru carbon fibre body panels and stuff.

The upstart Pontiac will race in the Showroom Stock B class, alongside the Mazda Miata, BMW Z4, Acura RSX and Honda Civic.

You can get your own Solstice racer by ordering your Solstice with the Z0K Club Sport production order option package, which includes ABS, a limited-slip differential, improved power steering cooler and the FE3 suspension option (which will be standard on the Solstice GXP).

nice to finally see a worthy GM car besides a Camaro/Firebird or Corvette.

Sweet!

I liked it the first time I saw it online a while back and it's still a nice car. I kind of did a little phoshop update of the original pictures to suit my taste:

although i was whining to Rafferty in Kansas to make a BRIGHT orange vette (I need to find out how bright atomic orange is) I have to agree with her black is the best color. I wanted a black z/28, I have a black z06 and the solstice looks awesome in black...

It took 3rd out of a 7 car field last week in SSB. Not bad for a start. Now just give us a more adjustable wheel so the longer legged amongst us can drive it.
