I have a set of used Trackbrackets (Bob Bishop design) for sale. These came with a set of C5 brakes I bought from SS2Win. I was hoping they would fit my C4 (C4 and 4th gen have the same front hub bolt pattern), but they hit the spindle. Minor chips to finish, otherwise in perfect condition. Comes with mounting bolts, ready to install.

$200 shipped to Con US.

Still for sale. I know SOMEONE on here needs C5 brakes! I also know someone selling a cheap set of C5 calipers as well.

Are you sure those are Trackbrackets?

Based on pictures I found on the web, Trackbrackets look like this:

...and UMI brackets look like this:

Yours look like neither design. dunno.gif

SS2Win sold these to me, and he said they were the Bob Bishop design. Also, these are the older steel, not aluminum, ones. Trackbird, any ideas?
SS2win
When I bought them they were represented as Bob Bishop brackets. I understand they are the original design. installed and worked flawlessly!

Not pictured, but also includes the 8 longer adapter-hub-spindle mounting bolts.

Forgive the potentially ignorant question, but...
This type requires cutting the spindle, correct?

If so, as a side note, are LG brackets the only type that do not require cutting?

No, it does not require any cutting on an LS1 spindle. Cutting may be required on an LT1 spindle, since the slides for the caliper may hit the bracket.
SS2win
you do have to cut the lower mounting boss.

Here's a couple pics

Yes, that's the original Bob Bishop C5 conversion bracket. They were in fact made of steel. Bob made many of them with that design and eventually switched to the aluminum version we have today. Those are good brackets and have given great service to many people. It's not the new aluminum design, but it works well and is a strong bracket. Rich, he's correct, those are Bob Bishop conversion brackets.
