I have four 1989 Corvette wheels 17x9.5" for sale with Kumho 275/40/17 V710's mounted.

The wheels are painted black and aren't pretty (ugly), but they work. The tires have plenty of life left and average ~0.090-0.100" tread depth. (~3/32" tread depth in most places)

Although the pics don't tell everything this wheel/tire is indicative of the rest and the tires as stated previously have not hit the wear indicators. There is good life in the tires and the wheels, although ugly, work.

What are the back spacing on these wheels?

Will they fit a 3rd Gen Camaro?

They are +56 mm offset. You would probably need spacers for a 3rd gen.

are the wheels straight? Do they shimmy or vibrate at all?

I wouldn't need spacers for an 02 WS6, right?

No shimmy or vibration-but I'm only had them up to 75 or so. They will fit '93+ cars without spacers.

LS1plus is local to me. Are these still around? If so, I'm sure we can find a way to get them here sooner or later (if you can't ship them).

Almost all commercially available 17x9.5 wheels have too much offset for a 4th gen, typically 56mm like Rob's wheels. They'll work fine for street driving, but with race tires you may get some rubbing on the rear inner fenders in a hard corner.

That's partly because race tires run wide, and partly because of "roll steer" of the rear axle. Race tires have more grip than street tires, so you'll get more roll when cornering at the limit (and thus more roll steer).

You can run the wheels without spacers, but you'll get less rubbing with a 1/8" to 1/4" rear spacer. I know Rob used a spacer, but don't remember the size. You can leave the spacers in with your street wheels too, in most cases.

Like I said, the situation is the same with most wheels out there. They are really designed for Corvettes (later C4 or C5 Z06). The exception is a $2K+ set of custom Forgelines or CCWs.

I used a set of these on my 02 SS, no rubbing issues at all. I had a slight (very slight) rub on the rear inner fender, just made a line in the undercoating when using 275 Hoosiers (S03's) with the factory SS wheels.
