and I actually have money, but I have like 15,000 tires as it is.

R3S04's in 335/17 for only $100 a tire. I know they are 2 years old, but for that price, I may have to try them.

Too bad 315s only offered in A compound. Which do ya'll think would be better - take off R3S06s in 315 size or new R3S04s in a 335? On a 17x11 wheel.

I told myself I would get a fresh set of tires for this season. I was planning on 710s, but knew the Tire Rack put Hoosiers on sale last year. I figured last year's model would be good enough, but these people have A3S05s... 2 years old.

Can we assume these tires were stored properly for 2 years dunno.gif they are $100 less than new each blink.gif

Does anyone know if they're coming out with an A7/R7? I'm assuming the A6s will go on sale then.
SVTHuh
God I wish I had an extra $480 laying around!

Am I too paranoid about ordering tires now due to the freezing weather? I know R compounds are very sensitive to cold temps for storage, but would a few days in shipping make a difference with tires that are almost 2 years old?
Project84
what's the biggest tire I can fit on my stock salad shooters?

I've heard 275/50/16 fit but, is there truth to their statement?

I don't have money for wheels + tires, and I'm still a newb and I don't feel I need it yet, but just for reference, I'm curious

The tire rack and Hoosier both list recommended rim widths. For the A6s, 275/45-16, Hoosier shows a minimum width of 8.5" while tire rack shows 8". The A3S05s should be about the same. Wide tires on narrow rims are more sensitive to pressure and don't wear the shoulders as evenly.

thanks for the info!

so it looks like, perhaps, I'll be holding off on both wheels AND tires... I can kinda justify the expense though, by saying, hey, these wheels and tires work with EITHER car.

I just don't know how many track events I'll make it to, so I'm trying to keep that in mind w/ mod purchasing.

Bit the bullet on my first set of competition tires. beerchug.gif

Now to get ready for ESP next season I just need some ZR1's...and a L98, and a T2R... tongue.gif
