Took my CMC car to my home track this weekend. CMC #8, the car Glenn and I built last year, was there as well. We spent the whole weekend moving setups around from car to car. Each session, each car went out with a different set up, each inching towards "the line".

It was a very productive weekend.

Earlier this year I made a dramatic change in front spring rates. So, we began with a low rear spring rate and kept incrementing it up 25 lbs at a time till things got a little hairy. With the different front rates, the car turned in much, much crisper and was extremely predictable from corner entry all the way to corner exit. An additional 25 lb increase in rate, made the car go "over the edge" into loose.

All we did all weekend long was change springs ... nothing else. Bars, tire pressures, shock settings all remained constant.

I cannot thank Glenn enough for spending the whole weekend out there with us wrenching, troubleshooting and think tank.

We made both #8 and #9 a LOT faster ...

You BOTH are great friends to have and are always helpful.

......just some of us don't get to visit as much as we would like ph34r.gif

Congratz on the new found time ~ will be interesting to see how ya'll place this year.
