With Andrew and Mitch's help, the motor is sitting in the floor. Thanks guys! I need to get bolts to attach it to the engine stand, so I still don't know what went wrong.

Glenn did the motor swap last time, and after having taken it back apart, have to say that Glenn does first rate work (and also gives good advice). Thanks buddy.

So, did you buy the engine you were asking about in the other thread?

Chuck, I appreciate the thanks. But I've made a lot more withdrawals from this account than deposits. Yesterday was just a small return payment for your help numerous times.

If anyone needs a street car stripped in preparation for CMC racing, Chuck is the guy to get the job done!

i was there in spirit.

I have to echo what Mitch said ~ you're more than welcome, but you've done a lot more for me.
......and thanks for lunch !

If you need any help getting the engine on the stand, just let me know.

The motor is on the stand, heads and pan are off. #5 spun, #6 was starting a sympathy spin. The bearings look like they have been oil starved. There was no piston to valve contact.

I will leave you with the immortal words of my dad, Tom, that will forever ring in my ears ...

"Son, you are just like a goat ... what you don't tear up you shit on."

Could have been a lot worse, I suppose.

When you get ready to go back together with it, gimme a call. I'll come help you load it all up and drag it over to RPM.
