Any reason your selling it? Are you going with something better? And I think most people get a little tender when selling a car they have had around for a while.

Its still up in the air what im going to get to race next. Options have been a free miata that I have to go pick up on the other side of the US. Possible another free 6shooter that would be a good GS car. Both cars have less than 20K miles on them.

There has also been a little voice in my head wispering the word Corvette, but why listen to him???

I have sold 3 f-bodies and a mint 83 Monte Carlo SS in the last 3 1/2 years. It never gets easier.
I hear the voices, too. They said to get the Vette.

ah, it will be all better when you pick yourself up a V8!
Keith, sold a Monte SS? How could you?!!! I don't think I'll ever sell mine.
I'm holding on to it until [if] I ever have a middle age crisis and then I'm going to hot rod it. yeah, that will be a while.

True, but there may be some time inbetween now and then. Im starting to think it would be wiser to wait a couple months until the C6 comes out and drops the prices off all the C5's and C4's. And then im still not sure which one would be the smarter choice. C5 is MUCH nicer/pimper than a c4, but then I get stuck in SS w/ the z06's and thats no fun. Then there is what choice of C4, L98, LT1, LT4 and trying to keep myself occupied until I get one.

I was happy to sell my 98 T/A since my Firehawk was on order, so I was getting the same car, but a little fancier.
However, I still miss my 1988 Cougar XR7. It wasn't the best performer, but it was torquey. The hard part was it was my first car, it took me through college and afterwards, and I put over 100,000 miles on it before we departed. Lots of great memories in 100,000 miles during your college years. I didn't get much for it and now wish I had kept it and modified the heck out of it. :(

Selling the Monte was hard, but I made the firm decision to go road racing and I had no choice. I knew that Monte since the day it came off the dealer lot. Selling that one was almost as hard as selling my IROC... The IROC was still the sentimental favorite.
Here is what the SS looked like when I sold her last July:
http://community.webshots.com/album/57414312HwGVdCThe $$$ that I got for it was equal to the cost of my 1993 GMC Vandura 2500. This is now my tow vehicle/daily driver. ...and butt-ugly.

Heck, if I could sell my car, I'd be happy, not depressed. It seems that nobody wants a 2002 Z28 M6 with Koni DA's these days.
Now, my 1989 Formula, I miss that car. I'm not sure why I've not developed the same affection for my new one, but I don't think I'll miss it when it's gone.
