I receive email updates from my local industrial auctioneer, and this one is from Hardcore Racing, in Flint, MI.

http://www.thomasauction.com/auctions/auct...intProjectID=95

If anyone needs lifts, engine or chassis dynos, or machine shop equipment, and you're local, consider yourself lucky. I wish this was local for me (I picked up Lista cabinets from the Texas Instruments auction last year...). Not affiliated, but thought this could help someone get good tools cheap...

Dang! Too bad I'm at least 3 months out from getting the shop propped up. Oh well, shipping would probably be more than the price of the equipment.

Nice link. I just signed up for their mailing list on metal working equipment.

Flint is close to me, but I don't think I'm interested in what they have. Unless there is a small lathe or mill that they do not mention.

Whadda ya mean? Everyone needs a dyno! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Most of the Thomas auctions are NY-NewEngland area, but lately they've done some midwest...

Yeah, I need one I just don't have room or $ for it. I guess I just need to make due without it (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Or sell the house, and build a loft in one of these industrial buildings for sale around here. And then get loan for dyno.

I actually had a chance at a good size shop with a 4 wheel Mustang(?) dyno for $160k. I passed and decided to buy a house instead.

Are they moving, upgrading, or shutting down?
Weren't they a big LSx type facility that turned out some quick cars on the drag strip?

Check the auctions calendar and then see what Grand Blanc Enterprises (or something like that) has in their lot list. You may find something useful. My mouth is watering.

Isnt that Ronnie Dukes shop? He was a big time competitor in the LSX world and built a couple of SERIOUS cars. He was one of the first to knock on the 200mph door with an LSX powerplant. Wheel to Wheel beat him to it though.

Yep, Dukes car is out of that shop and I see no indication on ls1tech nor their website of closing down, so they must be upgrading and/or moving.

I had trouble finding that? Can you tell me more? I went to "the google" (quote from George W)

Go to the auction link in the first post, and there's a tab under their headline banner for "auction calendar". Sometimes you've gotta be more local than google! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
