I've decided to sell my rear Koni DA's. These have had the shock rod and the body shortened 1" (each). They are short enough that the rear wheels (315's/17x11's) won't hang down low enough to catch the bumpstops with the rear of the car supported by the chassis and the axle hanging (with the wheels and tires still in place). There has been much debate about shortening shocks on these cars, and I'd suggest these only for a lowered car, or one that is (or will be) very low. They worked fine for me with the rear at 26.5" to the fender, but I wouldn't go much higher than that with them.

There is some oil on the outside of them (and dirt). They seemed to work fine when they were removed from the car, but I'm not going to say that they couldn't benefit from a rebuild. It's entirely possible that they could use some freshening up. But I can't say 100% either way.

Asking $250 shipped (48 states) SOLD

Here's the thread about the rebuild.

http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/index.php?showtopic=2984

Some photos (from when I got them back, I'll have to take some photos of them now) and the invoice:

I've also got an Amsoil reuseable air filter. It's Amsoil's version of the K&N (though it's a foam style filter). Used for 6 months or so, includes a full can of oil (as long as it's not lost in my garage).

$15 + freight (they were just under $50 new). (OBO) SOLD

I also have a drawbar for a tire trailer sized (small square flange) hitch. It came from the Uhaul hitch I used on my Camaro (Class I, I think). It includes a ball.

$15 plus freight (OBO)

I "don't have permission to use this feature" when I attempt to view the photos.

Sean,

Try it now. I had to change a permission setting that was wrong.

Lower prices.

I'd love to make some of this stuff go away, my garage is getting full of extra parts.

Anyone?

I'd love to give the DAs a shot but I've gotta freshen the motor instead (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

What is "some oil"? Slight seeping, or ???

It seemed like some seeping to me, but the dirt down one side was slightly damp. It was more oil than "just a little around the seal" and less oil than "running down the side of the shock body". I'd say it's somewhat closer to "just a little oil around the seal...and on the body". When I get back to the garage, I can take pictures and post them.

Sean,

I forgot to take pics, but I'll try to do that the next time I'm in the garage.

Well, I think I was down to asking a whole $15 (plus freight) for it, but let me know what you're thinking and we'll work it out. One of the guys here wanted that hitch, but I was too lazy to pull it off of the car at the time. I'd have to see if I can remember who it was.

$170 + freight? (and you'll need a set of rubber bushings and washers for the top mounting location)

On the drawbar? Sure. And I will try to remember to toss the window sticker in the box. You can paypal it to me or mail it. Whatever works for you. Just PM me your address again and I'll give you my paypal info or mailing address if you need it.

$145 + freight on the Koni's? I'm reaching the "get them out of my garage" point with some of this stuff (the rest has already gone in the trash).

I was thinking about them, too. Trying to climb under the car and see if they would work or not. So if Liz finds out, we'll probably take them, and have a moment of silence for Brad. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
