For those that haven't met my wife of 18yrs, she's allways at registration of a SoCal NASA event trying to get everybody on track, well she is like that everyday.... helping people. She works two jobs almost everyday and will still make me dinner if i'm dying for a home cooked meal. She really is a great wife, notting close to what the media/movies and most women(wait, little girls) are like! (she was standing behind me when i wrote that) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

On to the story...

She was on her way into the yard in her Kern County 97 Sonoma when a 17/18yr old girl slammed into her at close to 70/80mph as she sat there waiting to make a left turn in the yard. The Toyota(something) car lifted the truck off the ground and flipped it, reports say twice end to end (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I get the call and proceed to set a new land speed record for a Dmax/ 5th wheel to the hospital thinking the worst, I get there and she is scared, but doesn't have a scratch on her. Not a one, she has a few briuse's on her calf's and one on the shoulder but thats it (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif)

The young girl is out of the car walking around, and was releast 6hrs later(observation time) like my wife from the hospital.

Here are the pic's

Wow. I can't see the pics here at work, but from the description, it's incredible that nobody was seriously hurt.

I can't see them either.

But there was no back injury? I think you may be right about her super powers ...

The other driver OK? Insurance? New D-Max?

Wow John. Glad to hear she's ok. That truck held up pretty well for that kind of a hit. Give her my best wishes for a speedy recovery. I'm guessing she'll be a little sore for a few days and hopefully that's it.

Wow, glad to hear she's okay. My dad was rear ended once and still has neck problems and headaches years later, make sure to keep a close eye on her for the next few days to be certain there aren't any lagging injuries.

She benchpressed me off the bed once (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) And she changed her own tire today! No kidding!

Wow...looks like that truck is a parts truck now. Glad to hear she's OK.

Was the toyota driver on the phone when she hit?

I'd have her get a full physical ASAP, just to be sure.

You're getting some good tips on the medical issues that could come up John. You really won't know what kind of pain she will experience until day 3 or 4, not to mention all the injuries that could be present. There is no HANS in the passenger car ilk, and a lot of her bod got very, very tweaked! Ibuprofen is going to be her best friend for a while.

What Julie says. I was once hit head-on in a subdivision. Speeds of 30 MPH (combined was 60, of course). I stretched so much my head hit the rear view mirror. I was okay the first day (even went on to work). I could barely move the second day.

glad to hear all is OK...
Sometimes, gotta think angels are over our heads.
Reminds me of my heads-on-collision going ~80mph on a motorcycle.
Not 1 single scratch or broken anything, even after flying quite a bit before landing... only a few bruises and damaged leather.
Make sure she checks for back/neck pain in a few days... and if she does... make sure she reports it and put it on file.
