This is a neat Jeep. It's a 70th anniversary package and that makes it a bit different. Nobody lists the anniversary package in the book value listings so I'm going to explain what it is first.

This Liberty is considered a 4wd "Sport". It has the 16" alloy wheels from the sport package and the trail rated suspension. Beyond that, it gets a little confusing. The anniversary package has very dark olive color leather seats with a contrasting piping and an anniversary logo in the back of the seat. The seats are far nicer than any of the standard seats I've seen on the sport or limited package Jeeps that had leather. It also has the chrome side (external) trim like a limited package. And the paint is a metallic black with an emerald green clear coat that wasn't available on the non anniversary jeeps. I love the color, it's a really nice looking paint job. This Jeep has the 30 gig internal hard drive for mp3's and the in dash dvd player with touch screen (and AM/FM/satellite radio) as well as anniversary specific trim on the console. The front seats are both power and heated, there is a full traction and stability control system that also controls wheel spin (using the brakes and ABS instead of limited slip differentials) and actually works very well. It has the "homelink" transmitter package, hill decent control and hill start assist, power windows, locks, heated external power mirrors, power sun roof, factory tinted glass, upgraded (bought aftermarket from Jeep) rubber floor mats for dirt and grime as well as the anniversary mats. Cruise, tilt, air, automatic (with tow/haul mode), part time 4wd (with a "real" 4 low setting and transfer case), factory towing package (5,000 lbs and 7 pin connector), headlights with a full automatic mode (that also come on with the wipers in auto mode) and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. So, it's virtually a Limited (without the larger wheels) or a super loaded sport. There's no way to add the anniversary package to the NADA or KBB websites. But it's likely to book similar to a limited (limited without the wheels but with special paint and trim options). It was a certified pre owned jeep and has a 3/36 warranty and 7/100 power train warranty.

The front wheel fender flare needs repainted at a body shop, someone hit the flare in a parking lot one night while I was eating dinner ($400 to fix if you even notice it). And it's going to be due for tires by the end of summer.


Book value as a Limited is $22,525, and as a Sport it's $20,650

Considering it needs tires ($500) and bodywork ($400). I'll take $525 off the limited pricing (for the wheels, though the paint and leather upgrades might actually add all of that back) and subtract $1,000 for the tires and bodywork. That leaves us at $21k. I've never seen another anniversary Liberty. I've seen one anniversary Patriot and that's it. I don't think they built very many of these. It gets lots of compliments and I really like it. But I'm buying the Camaro SS from Keith's dad and I still have a Corvette in the garage so I decided to let this one go.

Did I miss it in all those details, or did you leave out what drivetrain it has? Is it gas or diesel?

The only one still available in the later years. 3.7 liter gas/automatic.

33,xxx miles on it.
