You going to be there next weekend for the NASA Summer Shootout? You should be at least. CMC and AI racing will be awesome to watch. Doubt you can get a ride along since there isn't HPDE and few of the race guys have passenger seats. But a great opportunity to look and learn about the cars. And yes there is always the opportunity for an extra set of hands. How much do you want to help? I'm the black 02 Camaro #24.

I'll be there as well - white & orange Camaro #29. I'll be in pit stall #13. Stop by to say hi, look around, ask questions & what-not. You'll find it's a very friendly and open group that will tell you anything you want to know, let you take pictures, sit in the cars, etc. As Bryan said, we can't take you out for ride alongs at this particular event (no HPDE sessions) but everything else you mentioned should be no problem. Hope to see you out there...

I'll be there as well. I run tech for NASA. You are more than welcome to come hang out with me and my crew. Hell we might recruit you to help! We'll be there the 22-23. Just ask where tech is and come introduce yourself! My name is Ross

Looks like I'll have to make my rounds! refuse to miss out this year like I have in the past. I work graveyard and will moat likely have to work that weekend but I will still come for a few hours at least! As far as helping, I'll do whatever I can. Not afraid of getting dirty!

What time would be best to be there?

I think Hallet will make you take along an instructor for your first couple sessions.

That looks like a nice schedule, four groups should keep traffic low and that's a lot of track time regardless.

It's next weekend - June 22-23. Schedule below...

Here's a rough decoder for the race group names on the schedule:
Thunder = CMC & AI (Camaros vs Mustangs)
Cyclone = Miatas
Blitz - BMWs, Porsches, Corvettes, Vipers, Ferraris
Lightning = Everything else...mostly small bore imports

I already asked off! Looks like I'll plan to arrive around 7:30sat and leave around 5:30. I'll probably make my rounds and meet you all. (time allowing) like I said, I will help as much as you will let me. You guys just say what you need.

Looks like I see some HPDE sessions....

Just in case, what do I need to bring for this? Helmet? Closed toe shoes? Pants?
