OOh OOh I might go now lol =)

Well, in the past few years it has been very difficult to get 100+ f-bodies out there even with registration starting months before this year and with national coverage in major magazines. After GM stopped making the cars in '02, attendance has dropped steadly because it's hard to find new/fresh blood. Opening the event up to all LSX-based GM cars was the idea to try and increase attendance since those cars seem to be the natural evolution for past f-body owners.

If that's not a good idea to help attendance in the future, do you have any better ones? I'm sure the orgainzers are all ears...

Been there done that for the last 10 years. Maybe you should acutally read about the event before you turn on your smart ass mode:

"Hooters

The Grand Poobah of Debauchery, Daniel Sparks will be leading Debauchery Tour 2006 for this, its 10th year running! Although not an official part of the event it has become a tradition so we're posting some of the details here. As per usual the festivities will be held on Friday night, starting with dinner at Hooters. The crew will be loading up and heading out no later than 7:00 from the hotel parking lot. Be prepared for a long night though, because the fun is just beginning. After Hooters it goes downhill from there... Hide the women and children because this is one tour that is definetly not for the feint of heart! "

honestly all I care about is the AutoX. Will my SuperStock (Z06) car fit in stock??? I'll take the 1.5 sec penalty for the 710's. I wouldn't mind driving out to Indy, especially since the AutoX is on a Saturday and that means no wasted vacation time (since Indy is about 10-11 hours) and I can get back in time for a local SCCA event. (yes I'm nuts)

I just paid.

C'mon people let's make this happen. You all can come and laugh at my driving. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So since the web site isn't updated, does anyone know when the registration deadline is?

The mailing list has the best info, unfortunately it's hard to wade through the bs at times. There isn't an official deadline that I know of, but it would be best to register and pay now since they still aren't in the clear as far as paid attendees goes.

Ive been lurking over here for a few weeks but I can offer some update on the NFME. The deadline is right now. David (the event chair) will be making his decision to go/no go no later than April 15 and probably before... this will rely totally on registration this week. This means he needs everyone that is interested to be registered now, and paid within the next week or so. This event is not a done deal yet, so everyone who signs up right away is helping us out. It's an awesome time, you get huge amounts of track time, and plenty of smart folks to discuss car setup tips in the parking lot (usually until about 2 in the morning!) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Besides, I need folks to caravan with from the northeast! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I went last year and enjoyed all the auto-x and track time, but I'm still trying to come up with both some slightly used track tires for my 17x9's and the money to pay for said tires. That's why I'm wondering when the registration deadline is. No need to convince me it's a good time, I just need to come up with extra money as my auto-x tires cost me more than they did last year, so I'm in a pinch for finding tires.
