Car in question is here: http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/index.php?showtopic=13432

edit: Part out is ON!, buy them now!

I need to get this car out of my garage and into my wallet. Not a bite yet on the for sale, so I'm considering parting it out. I'm not committed yet to parting it out, so let me know if there is any serious interest in these items. If there ends up being a feeding frenzy I'll give first responders first dibs on items. I may have a use for that fuel cell and maybe the fuel pump setup. Can you PM me the cost to freshen the bladder, etc?

I'll post it here in case you don't go for it, and someone else is interested.

new Fuel Safe Procell refurb kit $816
or,
new Fuel Safe Sportsman refurb kit $653

includes bladder, foam, nut ring, gasket, pickup tube

Buy the cell and the refurb kit from me and I'll install it in the can with or without without the reduction blocks, and setup the surge tank, no labor charge. I'll also include the cover that seals the fill plate from the interior, and supply detail photos of the installation.

Buy the fuel pump/filter too, and I'll include -10AN suction line, -8AN supply and return lines that go from cell to approx OEM filter location. Lines and fittings are Earls.

Dibs on the clutch assuming there's still decent life in it?

Also, those #800 springs, what's the size of them?

If the deal falls through for the Koni's I'd want those also.

I've got some interest in the car as a roller - unknown yet which wheels and exactly what else would go with it. I should know pretty soon if that deal will go thru. Whatever's left, you guys are first in line for. Thanks!

I don't really know, I'll have to check with CMC. I've always assumed no, because of the cost, but I don't know what the OEM hardtop roof panel is going for or whether it's even available now.

Clutch has 2 seasons on it, was working fine when I parked the car.

The front springs are 2.5" ID x 8" tall coilover springs, Eibach brand

The roller sale deal did not happen, so the car will be parted out. I'll put enough stock parts back on the chassis so it will roll around, and the caged roller will be available.

Cody - Roof panel is packed up, in the truck

Casey - Shocks went to UPS today

I'm leaving for Miller tomorrow 11am, if anyone wants something delivered there, let me know before then.

I've got the GW coilovers, 850x8 springs and the 17x9.5" wheels packed, they are available. I hope I don't have to haul them home.

PS I'll be away from the phone and email till Monday evening.

So you didnt notice any affect at all with the rear diffuser? I wonder how hard it would be to match up to a forumla rear bumper?

I built the diffusor in the off season, along with some other stuff, and I was tracking my C5 all winter, so being 2sec faster in the season opener could have been the diffusor, or the other stuff, or the nut behind the wheel. I have no empirical downforce measurements, and no back to back with/without lap times, so I can't rightfully claim that it works.

Definately sold if this is what you have for sale...
http://www.globalwest.net/1993-2002_Camaro...justing_kit.htm
Minus the springs of course...

They normally take 8" tall 2.5" ID springs right?

Yes, that's the kit - it is complete with spanner and load washers, I'm not sure if I have the radial bearing in there, I forgot to look at it last nite.

I was using the setup with 8" x 850# (springs are sold), for lower rate springs you can use 10" length.

email or PM me your zip code and I'll get you a shipped price.

Do the factory struts come with load bearings that will transfer over to these?
I've only had mine off twice. Once about 4 years ago and once about 6 years ago.

Needless to say, I don't recall their assembly details off the top of my head.

What shocks were you using with these? I still have the stock Decrapons but hey... they've got over 100,000 miles of abuse so I guess I should be nicer with their description. Planning on upgrading when I add the coilovers. Want to make sure I get ones that will fit.

UPS gnd shipping is $15, PayPal $135 to: ablaine@cruzio.com

The radial bearings are not OEM, I'm not sure they were part of the GW package when I got these, but If I have them they'll be included. They make it a little easier to adjust the spring height when the suspension is loaded. Without them it just takes more effort.

I was using Koni singles, I had Bilsteins in the past. They will fit OEM but definitely recommend upgrading.

I am a dealer for Koni/Bilstein shocks and AFCO/Eibach/QA1 springs, would be glad to quote you on a package with new off the shelf shocks/springs.

I thought you were talking about the bushing that is way up at the top of the strut that allows it to rotate in the strut tower.

You're talking about the big washers at the base of the spring. I've put coilovers in other cars and never used them anyway. I'm only hopefully going to be adjusting it once. It would be nice to have though. Please see if you can find them.

Sending PM concerning the quote...

Here's what I've got: load washers for the top, but not radial bearings for the bottom - I had them on an earlier set of coilovers and they make it easier to adjust if you're in a hurry and only jack up one corner. If you jack up both front corners then the swaybar isn't loaded and adjustment is easy without them.

I cleaned the kit up and it looks good - threads have no damage.

Lowered prices on motor, trans, axle, hatch, fuel system.

The trans and axle are the right stuff for a CMC/CMC2 car on most tracks. 3.73 gears for coming off the corners, deep 5th gear that keeps on pulling on the big tracks. I'll cut off the LCA brackets, and put a stock diff cover on the axle N/C for a CMC buyer.

Hoods, for some reason, are expensive to ship. It would be $250-300 truck freight. You would be money ahead getting one from VFN - they ship from IN. Add some reinforcemement on the backside and it would weigh the same as my FG hood.

For the same reason, my hood would be a good value to someone on the west coast - I'm at all the NorCal NASA races, and could arrange for free transport to SoCal.

FYI Non-OEM hoods are not legal for CMC.

I'm keeping the motor together, If it doesn't sell maybe I'll build a car for myself and use it.

What's left:

Built LT1 motor

Here Ya go:

I bought them new, and did a lot of prep before sending them to JetHot:
cut the flanges off for better ground clearance
added skid plates
addedO2 bungs
added spreader plates on all the plumbing stubs on the primaries

If the buyer would prefer 3bolt flanges on the collectors, I'll weld them on n/c.

ditto

A detail I overlooked in the description: the valves are oversize, Ferrea. Blackstone did a valve job the last time the heads were off.

Headers are sold

That leaves the motor and the car - I'm parting out the motor. Short block is toast - got water into 7/8 sometime during the years it's been sitting. Everything under the valve covers looks fine, I've got the intake off now, will finish the teardown and discard anything with rust damage.

Pending teardown and inspection, here's what's for sale:

LT1 heads ported by Doug Rippie Motorsports and Mike Blackstone
LT4 extreme duty timing set
Ultradyne 232/244 110ls cam
Comp Cams ChroMo 1.6 roller rocker arms
Crane double valve springs, titanium retainers
Manley pushrods
Proform polished cast aluminum valve covers - new. I can add bungs and clearance for alternator
ported intake manifold
BBK 58mm TB
fuel rails with adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Taylor wires over the valve covers with boots
fresh OEM starter
fresh OEM alternator
Canton roadrace oil pan
PCM with dyno tuned flash
OEM wiring harness, MAF, all sensors, water pump

motor Dyno'd 373rwhp @ 6000rpm, 347rwtq @ 4600rpm

add pricing
